Normal: This is the vaguest of all. It is not what the majority feel, but does that alone make it abnormal? For those who are born gay, it is completely normal. I guess if you want everyone behaving in exactly the same way, like robots, it might not be normal. But it is normal for a portion of the population.

Moral: If you follow the judeo-christian traditions, it might be seen as immoral. But even those focus solely on the sex act and ignore the emotional side. If someone can call deep emotional love immoral, then your standards for moral are very different. But we have to remember, any sex except for the purposes of creating a baby can be called immoral by the same yardstick.

Natural: This one is the funniest to me. Apparently "natural" is used by social conservatives like it is used in cereal ads, it can mean whatever they want. Air conditioning is not "natural". Shaving is not "natural". Makeup and dyed hair is not "natural". Birth control is not "natural".

But oddly, in order to make the "its not natural" complaint work, you have to ignore many studies showing same-sex pairings and sexual acts in nature. There are species of primates that have a great deal of same-gender sexual contact. Many species have it. And before you say it, SM, I am not talking about showing dominance. The National Geographic studies showed numerous species having same-gender sexual relationships that had nothing to do with dominance.


Healthy: And lastly we have the one that ties its entire existence into the anal sex part. If we base our information on the rates of disease transmission, lesbian have the healthiest sex of all. But this entire premise shows how the social conservative focus solely on the sex acts and ignore the emotional/romantic aspects of these relationships.
