What I want to know BB is where the fuck were you when the US supported the Samoza government in Nicaragua and people were disappeared and tortured there? Where the fuck were you when the US supported the Pinochet government that tortured and disappeared its citizens by the thousands. Shit Pinochet and Saddam are different suits cut from the same cloth. The Chinese have and always will engage in torture of dissidents, imprisonment of Christian activists, forced sterilization and abortions. Not to mention the grevious treatment of people in Tibet which is controled by China. Using your logic we should be at a constant state of war with china.
Saudi Arabia, ignore the HUGE connection to Saudi Arabia with 9-11 all you want but the Saudi's engage in torture. Five UK nationals and one Canadian national who were released from prison following a royal pardon provided detailed accounts of their treatment in prisons in Riyadh. They claimed that they repeatedly suffered various forms of torture during interrogation in order to force them to confess to police accusations against them. These included beatings all over the body and on the soles of the feet, sleep deprivation, and shackling and handcuffing for long periods.
There are still 2000 cases pending in the disappearance of people in El Salvador under the US backed government from 1980-1991. The US not only supported that goverment but trained their officers how to "conduct interogations" at the School of the Americas at Fort Benning, where the US military taught Central and South American Military and Police how to torture people.
The US does NOT invade other countries because of their human rights records. Never have, Never will. Only a fucking moron would believe that the US was going to invade Iran because of it's human rights record. Christ the Shah of Iran was a brutal dictator that we supported and had he not been overthrown would have continued to support to this day if his son was in Power.
Even our buddies the Brits held over 7000 irish Citizens without a trial for years in British Prisons. If we went to war with every counrty that violated human rights we'd have no friends.
