Why the US is worse off than Greece

The only reason we are not 'as bad' as Spain is that we are the reserve currency. Thus, we are able to print money with reckless abandon. They are not as free to do so.

Spain is on the euro so they can't devalue their currency to market value. Instead, they have to take an economic hit.

Our monetary has not been reckless; it has, if anything, been too cautious and conservative. And long-term bond rates do not bear out your ignorant fears; if the US is "just as bad as Greece", then someone had better tell the people who have their money on the line.

FP/JPP have always been international, in the sense that we have Canadian and British posters, and have had people join us from Spain and Australia, as well as Hong Kong. If you don't want to see foreign input, try finding a site that is exclusively American in its make-up...
