Why Trump MUST win this Nov.

Are you denying that Trump and the MAGAts have already chipped away at our Constitution? That they've undermined American trust in our institutions?

The way it will work is for the majority of Americans to actively support or turn a blind eye to what they are doing. Rome and the Weimar Republic didn't collapse from without, they collapsed from within. Hence the quote from Star Wars: “So this is how liberty dies: with thunderous applause”.

FWIW, it wouldn't happen on Day One. It would evolve over the year and really begin when Trump declares martial law with the majority assent of Congress.

Stacking SCOTUS with activist justices who clearly lied during their confirmation hearings.

Trump's repeated request to violate the Constitution and the law while in office. Hence his comment about "Hitler's generals" and his surprise that military officers swear an oath to the Constitution, not the Commander-in-Chief.

You're free to support and vote for Trump. In the end, I agree with the maxim "we get the government we deserve".

Trump's tax cuts caused a recession before COVID

Thats a moronic lie. The Covid shutdowns caused it shit-for-brains. Kamala voters are the dumbest assholes on the planet. :palm:

and Trump's best annual GDP rate (2.85%) never surpassed Obama's best (2.89%).

3% in 2018. Of course, morons on the left voting for Kamala have to pretend that Covid had nothing to do with his lower average.

Trump also joins Bush the Dumber and Hoover as the only Presidents to leave office with fewer private sector jobs than when they started.

Says who? Some leftist dumbasses pretending to be intellects? You really are one dumb, uneducated, ignorant gullible dunce.

It explains why you are voting for Kamala.

Escape route? Nothing in my life changed during his first term. The same will be true if he wins again.

And if Kamala wins? I am always amused by dunces who say they aren't voting for anyone believing that somehow, that makes them appear smart.

If Kamala wins ... nothing will change.

I don't think I'm smart. I just don't vote for garbage candidates out of fear.

Why? What would stop him?

Not at all, the principles of the Republican Party, the Republican Party of Reagan, are few to be found in Trumpism. Tariffs, weak Federal Power, a weak Executive, Fiscal reserve, Global involvement, Judicial restraint, just to quickly cite several traditional GOP principles are history in Trump’s GOP
You are still hallucinating, Sybil. Let the drug wear off before posting.

I don't know how much you can blame Trump for the SCOTUS justices lying, to whatever extent they did lie. He can't really control that.

Trump's repeated requests to break that law and/or violate the Constitution is why I'm not concerned about him. There are checks and balances that prevent yahoos like him from getting his way.

I'm not voting for Trump or Kamala.
"Hand picked". Plus the fact both Trump and the MAGAts in Congress approved them.

Good luck with trusting him.

Yet you defend Trump. Interesting.

I don't trust him at all. I trust the checks and balances in the system that kept him in line in his first term.
Those checks and balances are being eroded. "Replace all the generals over two stars". He has the power. "Only pick people loyal to him, not the Constitution". Declare martial law after a "terrorist attack".

Is Trump's mind "going" or is it that his mind is different fundamentally from other minds and we fail to understand him? Ezra Klein had a piece in the NY Times yesterday that looks at this, mentioning Trump's half hour song and dance at his rally last week while the crowd look on in bewilderment, but not judgment. If any other candidate for public office did it alarm bells would go off.

Trump is different.

I think the real problem is Trump is TREATED different.

He is not held to any common codes of human conduct or decency. In my 60 years on this planet I've never in my life seen an adult man running for the highest office in the country say and do the things Trump says and does. But I have no doubt such people existed. They just didn't get sufficient support from people to actually make it onto the public stage.

Trump says the most appalling things imaginable and he has a HUGE Amen Chorus backing him up and mysteriously insisting that it is perfectly rational and normal.

Trump is what he is. He can't really change that. He was probably born this way and certainly his upbringing didn't help. But the real culprits are the millions who support him despite (and sometimes BECAUSE) of his outrageous anti-social behavior.

This is a failing of society.
