The 2020 election had the top two popular vote totals ever. Biden #1 and Trump #2... ALL TIME. The 2020 election was the most divisive election in history. It was in the middle of the pandemic, people being locked in their houses, kids not able to go to school, people couldn't go to the store and get toilet paper or ground beef. Fear of Trump was at an all-time high. People wanted things to return to normal and, for MANY, that meant getting Trump out of office.

There is no comparison between 2020 and 2024.

The issue is that 2020 had more votes than eligible voters. A LOT more.

I never claimed that trump put them up to it. But their efforts were not to help Harris. I bet you never read a single thing about this.

Al Gore won the popular vote by around 500,000 votes. Republicans didn't want to count all the votes in Florida, and the Supreme Court sided with them in a 5-4 decision, with the conservative justices voting along party lines. This was worth fighting for. While it's speculative, I doubt Gore would have lost if all the votes had been counted. Republicans must have believed this too, or they wouldn't have tried to stop the count. Unlike Trump, Gore conceded gracefully

Yes, I heard about it. It had no impact on the campaign. There was very little talk about those things in your article.
