The one prior to this one... 2018When was the last time?
Traditionally the highest ranking official, so Jefferies? There is not a mathematical formula.Who do you think is the leader of the democrats party right now?
Actually did occur, in both Jersey and Virginia both Democrat candidate focused on Trump, not just Trump, but he was a big part of their strategy. In Virginia, not directly, GOP candidate was up against a Trump effect, a lot of those laid off and fired Federal workers live in the DC Virginia suburbs, and in Jersey, the GOP candidate ran as a Trump supporter.First off, you’re running for governor, not campaigning for a president. That said, I’d love to hear the thought process here.
A person is running for governor in a state where a member of their party hasn’t been elected to the Senate since 1972, and their party hasn’t won the presidential vote there since 1988. But your position is they should emphasize the current president of their party in their campaign? And the logic there is?
Ever heard of........2010 a moderate was elected. so a a while ago. one that most in the GOP despise

You just want to go off on Trump. Have at it, but that’s a separate discussion. You know if TACO was popular they would be screaming his name from rooftops and begging him to appear with them. Disingenuous much?
NJ has often elected Republicans Governor, this is not a Congressional election. Have you not seen TACO standing with Republican gubernatorial candidates in the past?
NJ leans Democratic, but has a strong independent streak. Trump is a liability with regards to independent voters.
Should the Federal Government punish NYC for electing someone the President does not like?
And if it doesn’t turn out a sweep you will say the opposite, so you are offering littlemy prediction is that no matter what happens you and your ilk will proclaim it a HUGE and repudiation of Trump.
yes - elected in 2010 moron. and the GOP hates him moronEver heard of........

They elected Chris Christie to two terms. You just want to go off on Trump. Have at it, but that’s a separate discussion.
And a state that hasn’t elected a Republican senator since 1972 or voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988 “leans” Democratic? That’s taking a lot of liberty with how we define blue and red states.
and elected in 2014, moron. Served until 2018.yes - elected in 2010 moron. and the GOP hates him moron
you have egg all over your face. he is the rino I mentioned in 2010and elected in 2014, moron. Served until 2018.
You misread what I wrote.Actually did occur, in both Jersey and Virginia both Democrat candidate focused on Trump, not just Trump, but he was a big part of their strategy. In Virginia, not directly, GOP candidate was up against a Trump effect, a lot of those laid off and fired Federal workers live in the DC Virginia suburbs, and in Jersey, the GOP candidate ran as a Trump supporter.
I thought you were asking why would a GOP candidate make support of Trump a part of their campaign if they were running in a traditional blue state? And why would any of that give any indication of what is to come in next Fall’s election? You misread what I wrote.
I understand why a Democratic Governor candidate in a blue state would try to tie their opponent to Trump. That wasn’t what I was asking though.I thought you were asking why would a GOP candidate make support of Trump a part of their campaign if they were running in a traditional blue state? And why would any of that give any indication of what is to come in next Fall’s election?
As I hoped I conveyed, directly or indirectly, it happened, Trump is involved in both Governors races. And as far as giving us signs as to next Fall’s election, that is what political junkies do, whether it is relevant or not
During the first Persian Gulf War, and shortly there after, based on the total success of the war, I would have bet the house that Bush would have easily won the following year’s Presidential election, and as we know, he didn’t. Just showed a year is a long time in politics and any early tea leaf projections are just that
Trump narrowed the gap in Jersey considerably between 2020 and 2024 appealing to the voters of northern and southern Jersey and the Latin vote. Ciatterelli obviously saw the same route for his sucess. Trump wasn’t the center of his campaign but he did openly support and embrace TrumpI understand why a Democratic Governor candidate in a blue state would try to tie their opponent to Trump. That wasn’t what I was asking though.
I was asking why a Republican Governor candidate in a blue state like New Jersey would tie their campaign to Trump. What would be the thought process
You're closer to New Jersey so you would have a better sense.Trump narrowed the gap in Jersey considerably between 2020 and 2024 appealing to the voters of northern and southern Jersey and the Latin vote. Ciatterelli obviously saw the same route for his sucess. Trump wasn’t the center of his campaign but he did openly support and embrace Trump
And as I said in Virginia, it was indirectly. Sears kept her distance from Trump, but Spanburger made Trump front and center for as I said a lot of those DC workers live in Virginia. Which is why the political junkies will see the race as an election on Trump. And don’t discount Sears, the State’s AG text scandal helped her
Here is another prediction for you. What happens today will have zero impact on what Trump does the next three years OR what future elections hold. Oh the pundits will try to glean something from them but it is an exercise in futility. Like I said the one thing I can guarantee is that you Marxists will claim victory no matter what. And if you don’t win you will scream about voter suppression. And if it doesn’t turn out a sweep you will say the opposite, so you are offering little
Sure, Christie proved that, keep in mind it is Jersey, or as the Manhattanites refer to them, the bridge and tunnel peopleYou're closer to New Jersey so you would have a better sense.
As an outsider observer it would make sense if you told me Ciatterelli is trying to walk a fine line with both attracting those who voted for Trump, while appealing to voters that vote Democratic nationally but on a state may level may be open to voting for a Republican Governor.
