Which more centrist 3rd party will now rise to replace the Democrats? I'd rather it be some new form of the TEA party, perhaps the Libertarians, I really don't want it to be the Greens. Nor do I want some new Latino Ethnocentric Party. I shudder at the aspect of an American Morena Party.

You may disagree, but IMO Trump has taken the repubs in a Libertarian direction.
What will the Dems do without Trump to run against in 2028? They have been the party of White Man Bad. I assume they will continue with that.
I agree. Trump is anything but an establishment Republican! And he is far more Libertarian than say McConnell and crew. Trump has moved the GOP to the center!
The old Establishment GOP was weak and sick. The proof of how bad the GOP was, can be found in how Extremely Radical Leftie Bad the Democrats had been allowed to become! The Democrats went off the cliff into Corrupt Left-Extremist Death, because they lacked a good opposition GOP!
The Democrats were able to kill themselves, because the GOP was weak.
Even if Trump and his era / administration were absolutely perfect, we would still need a viable, opposition political party, to KEEP the new GOP honest, effective, and adaptive.
Excellence needs Opposition!
I don't want the corrupt, defunct, Democratic Party in any way, but as it dies, the GOP needs a new party to take its place, for the sake of the health of the GOP!

Ever since I could vote, I viewed the repubs as democrat lite.
The Dems controlled both chambers for 40 years, except the Senate for 2.
While I understand the "opposition" theory, we still have checks and balances without parties, and we still have primaries where we can judge people as individuals. The opposition that will keep us sharp is foreign entities.
And rogues, independents, and individuals have their moments and functions too.
But the Democrats, as a political party and brand, have gone so silly, extreme far to the Left, and corruption, that they are permanently toxic and defunct.
The Democratic Party is Dead. So we need a new 2nd major political party.

The Dems still have plenty of power and voters. The repubs survived out of power form '52 to '92. The Dems kept their old Slave name and survived. 2026 will give us more info.
As you know, Pres. Washington did not believe in parties, he believed in judging individuals.
Do you have any suggestions as to what the Dems new messaging should be? I don't.
Do any JPP libs think the party needs to change its platforms?

The 2-party system is too entrenched. I'd like to see viable 3rd & 4th parties emerge - but what I'd like is fantasy. Both parties rake in so much money that it's almost impossible for another party to break through.
The Dems might have control of the House by summer. They're not anywhere near done as a party, particularly w/ the money they bring in. They'll likely win the '26 midterms also.
They're going through all of the stages right now- denial, anger, etc. Eventually, they'll realize what went wrong, and adjust, and move more toward the center.

The socialist Bernie Sanders seems to be their strongest contender.
Taking over a major party is the best way. Lessons learned from Perot and Trump and Obama.
Even their own senator, Sen. Fetterman says the Democratic Party is toxic.
I’m sure others agree but are afraid to speak out. The Democrats behead anyone who disagrees with them.
Neither, it will evolve like normal…. The Republicans burned out about 10 years ago.

They are Republicans in name only compared to 10 years ago, same name very different party.
Republicsns support secure borders.
They support deporting violent illegal criminals.
They support protecting Jewish students at universities.
They support 13 year old cancer patients.
