And with tariffs of 20/30 100% on things we import , the Countries that make these products will just pass the increased costs on to the AMERICAN consumer and prices will sky rocket .

The idea of tariffs is to raise the cost of foreign made products so that American made products can compete. For example China subsidizes its steel industry and dumps low cost steel on the American market. That caused our steel industry to collapse. Trump put tariffs on Chinese subsidized steel and made American steel competitive. Trump is worried that China has cannibalized American manufacturing. He is trying to encourage the return of American manufacturing. He is going to lower corporate taxes on things made in the US. That will encourage the return of American made products.

PS Bidenflation was a 20% tax on everything! Not just some of the things we import.

Hello!!
Again the countries that produce the products we buy and parts for some of the things we produce will only pass those tariffs on to the consumers.
And YES they do help the American industries , but it will take YEARS to build any infrastructure we need to produce the products we do not produce here now.
And in the mean time American corps. will increase their prices not only to cover the increased costs of the parts we buy to make a lot of our goods but maybe a little more to add to their profits .
This all will cause prices on just about everything we buy to go way up.
and if Trump puts on his 20/30 or more % tariffs prices will go up that much and it will make the inflation we had under Biden look like chump change.
