Like most whores whoever has the cash!
but they then sold out to the Russians due to the blackmail material
They seem to be winning the 'Technology War'. (which will determine the Future)
The American government representatives are bought and sold by Corporate Capitalism.
but they then sold out to the Russians due to the blackmail material
Well there may have been 10-15 years ago, I don't think the choices left are ones most Americans want..
(There may be others, variants of the two, but if there are more, viable alternatives I would certainly like to hear them)
1.) Is to simply acquiesce and perhaps even participate, do what is in the best interest of the American consumers.
2.) Resist what everyone is calling the Chinese Century &/or actively subvert/sabotage~ up to & including hostile military operations in opposition.
3.) ?
They have Central Planning and a Vision. They are on a Mission.
Agreed, it worked out for some, while others where just copied & dumped.. (copying having a different meaning there)
In the past I thought the same, that perhaps we could make some changes but I now know that isn't an option (@ least that I can see coming about).....
Our systems are not to variants of capitalism, in fact, they say they are not capitalist. @ least not in the sense we traditionally understand in the west, & I believe they are correct.
Hierarchically structured differently~ in the Chinese system the party is over all, PERIOD.. Then you have the business classes (government/hybrid/private) & corporations subservient to them, & then you have the ppl..
In the USA you have the rich/corporations, then the government & then the ppl.......
THoughts???
I was listening to a Professor in Singapore giving a lecture & he said there is no war, China is way a head & would remain so.
He went on to say essentially they are so far ahead that saying China is stealing is ludicrous because the US/western tech is already behind what they are doing...
I don't necessarily agree w/ that but I do think he made a good point about the advancements in CHina..
They have 68 countries signed up & on board.....
Our leader is calling another world leader nasty..
He has no plan, he can't even get a wall built & Mexico was even paying for it......... ............
They are building bridges everywhere, including to our allies, while we are burning bridges to them..... I DON'T SEE HOW THAT MAKES AMERICA GREAT AGAIN..
Bill: "Our systems are not to variants of capitalism, in fact, they say they are not capitalist. @ least not in the sense we traditionally understand in the west, & I believe they are correct."
Jack: Their Stock trades on the NYSE and NASDAQ. Baidu and Tencent jump to mind. In my view, they have adopted 'Free Markets' but with a joint ownership of the national government.
My Thoughts?
America should form a 'NASA-like' joint venture with Silicon Valley and the US Government. Combining the unlimited purchasing power of the US Government, the expertise of Corporate America, and all the Brain Power of the R&D Departments of the Nation's Universities. Create a Vision of 'Technical Superiority for Western Democracies'.
America used to do this. NASA and the 'Moon Race' come to mind. The Panama Canal comes to mind. I think it's just recently that a group of Bluntskulls mutter "That's socialism" every time some idea comes up that involves the Government and Industry.
I have to give Trump credit for confronting the Chinese on their Trade practices. At least he made a move.
I would agree with the guy in Singapore.
"China is about to overtake America in AI research"
https://www.theverge.com/2019/3/14/18265230/china-is-about-to-overtake-america-in-ai-research
So is that an agreement w/ the definitions that I gave??
America is certainly capable of doing this, is it willing to do it?? To sacrifice & pay the taxes to pay for it?? Many large American corps insure the laws are written to exempt them from doing so & then blame the politicians when they get called out~kinda expecting a lot from this dysfunctional system??
Yes, & I have......
He got left w/ it, no doubt, but as I said before, they all get left holding a bag of goodies........ & that is no reason for him to cry about it either....
Sadly many of his fans falsely believe he has a fuckin clue of what he is even up against-HE DOES NOT from what I can tell.......
In fact many of his demands are in line w/ the party striving for efficiency.. Example that:trump wants their government out of the businesses, so does the party as they know, as do we, that getting the government out will make them more efficient in the long run...........
While he is demanding this he is begging those state run businesses to buy more soy beans etc to help our farmers. that actually is sad
Thanks, great article........
I think they probably already have... & in many other tech areas as well..
They can make a knockoff-apple phone for $100 that is better than the phone & camera they knocked off... Not a joke......
Their system, if it can even be called that is wide open (mostly open source) & highly sophisticated from the BOTTOM UP, not like here, the top down....
I don't want to bore you w/ the details, but if you seen it, you would see how we have bottlenecks in our system where theirs is wide open..
Here if you wanna do a start up, as an EXAMPLE: you need to get money- & you going into business will be up to financiers investors etc....
In China you don't need anyone, you can have your product produced for a zillioneth of those costs in the USA & you can make ten or ten thousand & just get your buddies & partners to buy in-that is why they have 24 new superCities & innovation coming out the ying yang (pun intended) because those restrictions that exist here ARE NOT HOLDING THEM BACK IN CHINA...
President Trump is "The Chosen One".
To fix America's business dealings
with Communist China!
Better dead then red!
