It's true though, anti-usury laws get called anti-semitic, anti-capitalist, populist, all the smear words trumped to up to disparage the truth.

Now there you go. That comment made sense! People can rationlize just about anything. Christianity has long standing tenets against usery. It's just to easy for those with money to exploit those with out money by loaning money at exorbitant rates. It is a function of government to protect the public from these kinds of economic exploitation.
