Set photos from Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" revealed that the entertainment company has prioritized diversity in casting its characters.

Multiple photos released from the production depicted a stunt double as Snow White, who will be played by Hispanic actress Rachel Zegler, and images of the characters who used to be called the "seven dwarves," and are now referred to as "magical creatures."

These photos, obtained by British outlet The Daily Mail, indicated that the new "magical creatures" are quite different from the animated dwarves of the original Disney movie. They are multi-racial, multi-gender and differ in height.

It makes one wonder why Disney now hates white people.
 
You could just stop paying attention to Disney. The only reason they're still relevant is because people like you like to be outraged. Stop thinking about them.

I pay attention to current news so of course I see this stuff.

At this point I don't see Disney ever casting a white person in another leading role in any of their remakes.

And shocker, their stock is down another 2% today.

It is about the money and also about what is right.

Disney is losing lots of money, although technically they are still profitable their shareholders are taking a hit.

They will only put up with this for so long.

Myself included.

You aren't wrong.


I've been buying their stock for a very long time and it's always been consistent but my profits have been cut in half over the last 4 years roughly.

Surprised you don’t know the losses are from its streaming service, like Comcast’s, Peacock’s and Paramount’s losses.

I know exactly where their losses are from.

And you are forgetting their movie division which has taken a huge hit with all their recent flops.

The bottom line is their image which is not going good and I'm losing money because of that.

It doesn't matter where their losses are coming from because they are still losses and dropping the stock price.

Their stock price has dropped 44% roughly since 2021.

It's now at 88 dollars per share compared to 175 in 2021

Emotion is a bad thing for an investor. Dump it while you can and put it something that will pay off...or don't.

Or, I'll help you out. Sell your stock, send me the money, and in 10 years I'll give you 75% of it back. Now I know what you're thinking...you're thinking that doesn't sound like a very good deal. If you're an average investor that's actually not a bad return.
 
Why do any of you care? I have a big gripe with Disney myself since they somehow made Star Wars suck. I'm not on here making discussions just to complain about it though.

They'll learn....poor unfortunates "remakes"...Stop taking beloved animated films and trying to recycle them to appeal to progressives.... Stop going after the classics in some sort of weird attempt to correct what is suddenly "offensive" to some....it just doesn't work...

Disneys price is essentially the same price as it was at the start of the year. Which is way better than universal. This has nothing to do with woke. Entertainment is struggling. I guess you are awful at investing too eh, Nora?
