Woke Disney does it again

Are the classics being removed or altered?

The classic movie "Song of the South" has been removed.

The old TV series, "Amos and Andy" has been removed.

Disney has removed (censored) historically accurate movies and TV shows.

True, and I wish they didn’t do that, but it is their right, no?

They are embarrassed by the racism in Song of the South, I would be also, but to me that’s no reason to erase it.

Does a cover change the lyrics or the melody??

Sometimes, yes. But nobody’s forcing me to listen to a cover. I really don’t care if they redo my favorite song as long as the original version is available.

In what was is having diverse dwarfs grooming?

Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them. Children and young people who are groomed can be sexually abused, exploited or trafficked.

Disney grooms children.

A cover band/version is to celebrate the original music...
Not change it so that it's barely recognizable....

I'm not...what new movies are we discussing? The Loittle Mermaid wasn't "new"...this Snow White movies doesn't look to be "new" either...

They’re both new, live action instead of animated and slightly different storylines. They aren’t replacing anything. I have a whole collection of classic songs done differently, same lyrics, almost always, but different tune, often and different genre. I love to see a different artists take on a piece of art.

Anyway, no one’s taking anything away from you.

They're meant to change/replace the classics....but you're right...they don't...;) And they're not new...or they'd have a new name...

Do you think the new little mermaid is barely recognizable? Is the old one no longer available?

They are definitely new, in fact, they use technology that wasn’t available when the originals were made.

Are you aware that almost all of Disney’s “Classics” are significantly changed versions of old European stories? Using your logic, they should never have been made in the first place, as they changed the beloved original old European stories.
