Womens' sports: looks like common sense is finally reemerging

So, you think it is "not conservative" to want to remove a law that forces schools to do something that he has said is "Deeply Unfair" and you have said you do not want?

You think they need to pass a law rather than to remove one? You are flailing. Desperate to gaslight us into some weird belief in a world where you vote for the people that do this you don't "really" support it. You are helpless "victims" of the folks you give money and votes to... forced to just stand there in dismay as they support laws you don't want that treat your daughters... well, as Newsom said "deeply unfair".

Next time you write that check supporting the people that go against what you say you want, and then cast that vote, and then tell me how much you didn't want the policies they have put in place... well, just know we aren't listening to your "we don't support that" we are watching your actions as you give support and votes to them... because that is exactly what you do.

You keep saying these things, but continue to vote for the people who make these laws, support the policies in the schools, and remain defensive when people point out the hypocrisy between your words and actions. If you want us to believe you are actually against this garbage do something about it, otherwise we'll continue to point out that you got what you voted for.

You want to distance yourself from your support and vote, from their inaction against and actions for, and you want us to believe that because they lie about it we are supposed to just believe that Newsom and your legislators are just victims of circumstance as they pass laws that 80% of you do not support?

He's backpedalling furiously thinking we are all fools, fuck him!

Damn. Before July 1st I would have said the same thing. But this time it is actually true.

Penn to update records, apologize to women ‘disadvantaged’ by transgender swimmer

By
Washington — The University of Pennsylvania says it will update records set by transgender swimmer Lia Thomas and apologize to female athletes “disadvantaged” by Thomas’ participation on the women’s swimming team, part of a resolution of a federal civil rights case.

The U.S. Education Department and Penn announced the voluntary agreement Tuesday. The case focused on Thomas, the transgender swimmer who last competed for the Ivy League school in Philadelphia in 2022, when she became the first openly transgender athlete to win a Division I title.

The department investigated Penn as part of the Trump administration’s broader attempt to remove transgender athletes from girls’ and women’s sports, finding the college violated the rights of female athletes.

Indeed he is.

He posts about whether school districts or a federal law should determine the outcome.

This has already been decided by Title 9.

What part of this federal law is confusing him?

AI Overview

In simple terms, Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that receives federal funding. This means it protects students, faculty, and staff from being treated unfairly based on their sex, including sexual harassment and violence, in schools and other educational settings.

As they should, but I'm not sure about those polls. Whereas the NCAA now realizes the folly of it's previous guidelines, it is only Blue states that still allow transgender athletes to compete against women.

The Thomas case was especially heinous because it took away basic rights of privacy in the locker room from the women. They were forced to share facilities with a fully intact male who admits to being attracted to women. Said women were basically told to 'suck it up', as the NCAA erred on the side of trans rights.

If anyone should apologize, it should be the NCAA. U. Penn. was just following flawed guidelines.
How would you like your crow to be cooked?

At the time, most of my like minded buddies here used to get pissed at me for criticizing the NCAA/Penn. The competition was only part of it. Forcing the women to share a locker room with an anatomical male was a disgrace. They basically told the women to 'suck it up'.
For that, they should have been penalized. Even sued. Hell...they ought to apologize for that. Not for letting him compete.

As for the competition, they were following NCAA flawed guidelines at the time.

It's totally different questions as to whether one desires school districts and universities themselves to prevent transgender athletes from participating in NCAA women's sports, or whether one thinks a federal ban is necessary and the appropriate response.

Usually, conservatives claim we have too many laws already.

Outside of a small vocal minority, I don't remember hardly any Democrats defending Lia Thomas participating in the Penn women's swim team, and crushing all their records. That was preposterous, but I'm not going to get gas lighted into believing a tiny little mole hill is a gigantic mountain of a problem.
I'm not sure what laws are being referred to, but Biden incorrectly cited Title IX as paving the way for trans women in sports. Honestly, it's the complete opposite.

I got stink eye from a few here who incorrectly conflated trans rights with this issue when I railed against it.

In order to get this right, there needs to be a Federal law regulating the parameters of trans women competing against women. There is nothing that keeps trans women from continuing to compete against men. Oddly, they refuse.

If a trans athlete can not only get testosterone levels to a certain point, but also muscle mass and lung capacity, then they should be able to compete. That's not what current guidelines call for.

Reverting records, a written apology and policy changes: How UPenn reached a deal with the White House over trans athletes and $175 million in federal funding

...UPenn had to issue a statement that it would comply with Title IX in its athletic programs, restore records and titles to the women who competed against Thomas and any other transgender women, and write apologies to those women who competed against Thomas....
Forced apologies because of threats are worthless.

You obviously spend an exorbitant amount of time thinking about transexuals, reading about them, researching them.

It's not an interest of mine.

I don't think transexuals should participate on girls NCAA teams - but to me this is a tiny little molehill of a problem, while to you it is a gigantic mountain of an existential problem.

Because I posted once about your flailing claims that leftists didn't support this?

You are now trying to attack others, because you were caught out pretending that democrats didn't support this stuff because your governor said it was "deeply unfair" once while on a podcast with Charlie Kirk... I challenged your theory and shabang! Suddenly I am "thinking of transgenders" rather than simply pointing out that you got what you voted for... and have no evidence that your claim has any merit.

I'd laugh, well I did laugh and still am chuckling a bit that you think a knee-jerk attack on others in defense of transgender athletes somehow proves your point. You've gone full circle. Time to pretend that I don't like rainbows after you said that 80% of democrats didn't support this stuff. If you apply this to your own argument, you spend way too much time worrying about transgenders... and flailing at a solution that doesn't include not voting for the folks that put the policies in place.

Why are you transphobic, Cypress?

Yet you spend your time on threads whining about those who support keeping freaks out of women's sports, claiming it isn't a concern of yours? Apparently it is a concern of yours all the while supporting freaks in women;s sport,

Unfortunate use of words.

Compared to to thousands of hours you've spent thinking about transexuals and writing about transexuals, the amount of time I've thought and written about them is negligible in comparison.

Whenever Republicans blatantly exploit a wedge issue for sheer political advantage, without actually giving a shit about any of the people affected, it is noteworthy to me.
