This cannot be words of wisdom, from whatever source. A man, who has lived and learned, can speak from experience - but that is not wisdom, it is only experience - that no one listens to anyway.
Ok there's a bit of a myth about the religious persecution thing that I think should be cleared up. Yes many Europeans came to america to get away from religious persecution. They wanted a new land where they could be the dominant religion and not be persecuted. America wasn't founded on religious tolerance, at l;east until you get up to the late 1700. The pilgrims came to set up their own religion without any lesser ones, not to reach the land of everybody loves everyone else's religion.
Now I'm in favor of religious freedom. I'm just against bad or stupid arguments.
