Would you support tax cuts if they are not countered with spending cuts?

Are the Republicans really proposing cutting taxes again without cutting spending?

I know many of them will say generally that they support spending cuts, but they should not pass a tax cut that does not include corresponding spending cuts. It would just be a recipie for disaster.

I don't support having breakfast without spending cuts.......I don't support watching the Olympics without spending cuts......I don't support letting liberals post to the board without spending cuts......I don't support letting Harry Reid talk to reporters without spending cuts....

I think we should eliminate all federal taxes on people earning less than the poverty level.....I think we should eliminate SS and FICA individual taxes on people earning less than the poverty level......I think we should eliminate the earned income credit payments.......I think we should eliminate the earnings cap on SS and FICA individual taxes......I would agree to a 45% tax rate on incomes over $500k......I think we should eliminate corporate taxes and tax shareholders for their proportionate share of corporate earnings at their income tax rate........I think we should tax capital gains at the income tax rate, but that we should continue 1031 exchange procedures for people who carry over their gains to new investments......

I believe all those changes should be contingent upon cutting spending back to 2008 levels.......

Why would I support tax increases in the face of the Great Recession? Raising taxes into a recession is still stupid, even if you think those "rich people" who pay 50% of all income taxes collected don't pay their "fair share".

The idea that voting to continue the current tax rates is "cutting" taxes is politics for kindergartners, not people who pay attention like those here on this board.

I would only support actual tax cuts, lower than the current rates, if they were targeted toward growth to expand the tax base (actually get people jobs) which would increase revenue. Tax hikes on those evil 1% will have to wait until the lost years are past, even if you think we need to make sure those people will never bring a job to the US in order to punish them for being in the evil 1% where some only pay capital gains.
