What "involvement" has the US had in Israel's affairs, other than being their ally?

Have we sent troops to Israel to provide security? NO!

Have we sent warships to protect Israel from attacks? NO!

Have we flown drones or launched cruise missiles at the people attacking Israel daily? NO!

Are US service personnel dying in Israel? NO!

No, what matters to you is propaganda disguised as truth. Sochead is an example of someone who is intelligent, yet too inept to comprehend propaganda, and has therefore been fooled into believing it. You are an example of someone who is just not intelligent. My intelligence is far superior to you or Sochead, it's almost in a class by itself here. One thing that has always struck me about Israel and it's role in US politics is how odd that role is. The GOP is the more serious of the two parties in supporting Israel, and it literally gets no political capital out of that support, as 70-80% of the Jewish vote is reliably Democratic. The Democrats are increasingly less supportive of Israel and often outright supporters of Palestine from an individual standpoint (such as Carter), but they are unwilling to tank the Jewish vote, so they try and compete with the GOP positions (a great example being the Jerusalem Amendment controvery at the recent DNC).
