wow, this isn't the America we used to know?..

Kids are not allowed to wear shirts with pictures on them at one of the Grandchildrens school.

I had been wondering when someone would pick up on the picture problem.
It was obvious to me.

I wish I had seen the picture though.

I think it's the same one that is at the beginning of the video.

The fact is that schools can set up pretty much whatever rules they want to be followed on their property.

No chewing gum was one I recall. I even recall no pants on girls. No mohawks, no T shirts.

what do students with pictures on their shirts during schooltime have to do with an adult at a protest after hours?

Listen to him he says the picture cant be up, if he puts the picture up again the SG will act.

Up on what?

Listen guys just because this guard has no idea WHY he is ordered to do it doesnt mean it is not perfectly legal.

how does one enforce the laws/codes when one doesn't know the laws/codes and if one doesn't know the laws/codes how can one say it is illegal or not?

they can't, so the truth of the matter is that the SG was enforcing his opinion only.

the guy who was standing with him ordered him to deal with the situation.

Come on the guy is a school cop.

They are basically security guards.

I have first hand knowledge from my cacus training.

The laws are that you CAN NOT hang any political material up at a school site even while cacusing.

I had to tear the Clinton camps posters down and instruct them in the laws when I ran my cacus.

You can not hang political crap up at a school no matter what the fucntion.

first hand knowledge? then i'm certain that you can produce the cite or code that states this?

Why you would just ignore it like you do all facts that you dont like.

so you can't provide this proof. in other words, you were lying because you're a political leftist hack who agreed with the totalitarian ways of the school.

just come out of the closet already.

You dont get to put your trash just anywhere.

You have to have the permission of the private property owner to place your crap.

Funny how you cant figure out that is Right in line with the constitution.

why would anyone be surprized you cant figure that one out.

why would anyone be suprised that now you're backtracking and covering different ground. first you said that you could only place political signs on private property, but now you're saying that you need permission from the property owner. School property is property of the city, which is public property, so your statement doesn't even come close to being applicable.

so what is it exactly you're not figuring out? maybe we can help you with that?

The laws are no such thing. In fact when renting the school for a private party (such as a caucus) you are not only allowed, but they cannot stop you so long as you are not damaging the property and the signs are a specific distance from the entrance. There is nothing about "pictures" being excluded.

In fact, when we have our polling places there they even have to allow political signs within a specific distance from the entry of the polling place last year both parties had signs out on the school lawn where our polling places were.

Maybe in your area the "laws" are that way, but they certainly aren't here.

http://www.richlandonline.com/departments/elections/politicalsigns.asp

Heres one example you asswinks.

political signs are in most places only allowed on private property.

NOT ON PUBLIC PROPERTY

I know you will just ignore the fucking facts though
When you are renting the school for a private function it, per the law, becomes "private property." You have to follow the rental agreement, but saying "no signs" applies is simply wrong. For instance, a church renting a school on Sundays can put up signs and pictures relating to their purpose.

Renting?????

how much did they pay?

You are DEAD wrong Damo, they did not pay money , they got a permitt to use this public property.

When you are allowed to use this property it comes with restrictions.

My cacus tutorial incuded the Rules of posting anything on the property.

It was my responsibility to tell the people NO posting anything on any surface. They could hold any sign they wanted but could not put anything "up".

I don't know. But I know we rented for our polling places, I assume the school had them pay rent for their space and time. You do realize that they were holding a political meeting there, yes?
