nov 8 2023 A manhunt is underway in Middlesex County as police and the FBI search for a man wanted in connection to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
The FBI said in a statement that law enforcement officials are looking for Gregory Yetman, 46, of Helmetta. He is described as a white man in his 40s wearing a red jacket and a ball cap. he was last seen fleeing into a wooded area

Officials say they were attempting to execute an arrest warrant when Yetman ran away. They say he may be armed.

There is a heavy police presence in the area. Main Street in Helmetta was shut down Wednesday morning but has since reopened.
The search sent Spotswood Public Schools in a shelter-in-place status for a time.

F.B.I. Searching New Jersey for Man Accused in Capitol Riot

A manhunt was underway on Wednesday as the F.B.I. and several local police departments searched central New Jersey for a man wanted in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

The F.B.I. circulated a photo that it said showed the man, Gregory Yetman, taking part in the attack two years ago.

Armed law enforcement officers were seen searching the backyard of a home and a shed in Helmetta, N.J., a small suburban community in Middlesex County, in video footage shot by NBC News.
