WTF is a "just economy'?

The economy is the same as the environment right now.

With the environment, the planet is literally screaming at us that our course is unsustainable, but many on the right don't seem to see it. They think that no changes are needed.

It's the same economically. Poverty in the world is pretty staggering. Poverty in America is the same. We have become a nation of haves and have nots, and the gap between rich and poor only keeps trending up. It's pretty easy to see where it's headed.

And yet many on the right think that no changes are needed.

Earth has no voice. There is no screaming. Define 'pollution'. Define 'sustainable'. Misery is caused by socialism, which is what you are advocating.

Short answer is no, but I really don't understand the question. See my reply to Dutch Uncle.^

regarding your reply to Dutch Uncle and comparing it to your earlier answers.........would you not agree that risk and reward is the entire crux of capitalism??? some people are indeed not suited to be self employed, but most of the time we'll never get to know that because of the crony and elite roadblocks that democrats and republicans put up to impede entrepreneurs.

and the pursuit of slave labor....

elites should be the caretakers of humanity, not rapacious predators of it.

Should be? People should all be Christ-like angels, then we wouldn't need gov't.

Americans should realize we live in a global economy, in competition with other countries. That the world does not end at the borders of the USA.

but we do. and we should stop trade with slaver nations. we need government to do certain things, like trade policy, and roads. im a minarchist, not an anarchist.

Lol, the market demands mostly lower paying jobs.

So, even if everyone was an educated genius the market would dictate poverty salaries.

Pure speculation without evidence.

Public education was created because employers needed better educated workers.

Why do you say 40?

Corps and jobs have been driven overseas by high taxes and Unions.

The money went overseas via the American consumer choosing to buy foreign goods instead of made in the USA.
What?
Reagan was elected in 1980, it's 2020 = 40 years.
"Corps and jobs have been driven overseas by high taxes and Unions".
So, if that were the case, they got tax cuts, bailouts and subsidies and they still left the US?
So, without unions wages have become flat, that's who built the American middle class, teabaggers have done everything they can do to destroy them.
I'm fortunate, since 1989 I got a $10.00 an hour raise, in 31 years, that's crazy.

Dems don't. And the Corps simply give the consumers what they demand,.

plus we need outright industry protectionism on certain sectors:
Why?
food production
Don't like avocados from Mexico in the winter? Don't like salmon caught in Canada? Don't like English toffee? Don't think Russia, Japan, and many other nations should be buying our wheat, corn, and rice?
pharmaceuticals
Don't like aspirin that came from German chemists? Don't like Tylenol? Don't like the fact that most medicines are already developed in the U.S.?
The U.S. is almost 50 years behind the state of the art in electronics, thanks to environmental nuts like you. We can't even make tubes anymore. Resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, and most integrated circuits are made overseas in Taiwan, South Korea, or Japan.
There a VERY FEW integrated circuit manufactures in the U.S. Intel makes their stuff in Mexico, Taiwan, and Japan. AMD makes their stuff in the same places.

The U.S. is the world leader in software, however. You don't like that?
Our military is already U.S. only.
construction materials
Don't like those appliances in your home that are made in Canada in Mexico? Blame idiots like you. Lumber at the local Home Depot comes from local sources, such as the sawmills in Western Washington and Oregon. Those trees are farmed. Gypsum for wallboard comes from the Death Valley area and other desert area sources. The paper comes from scrap wood from local sources and farmed trees (locally farmed). Nails come from just about anywhere, including Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Same with screws. Windows and doors are locally made in most cases. What construction materials are you referring to?
we can let china have baubles and bric a brack
Nah. People like to buy China's bric a brack.

How is it "chasing unicorns" to try to improve educational access for all, and basic equal opportunity?

Is it "chasing unicorns" to think we can make our political system representative of all, and not just the monied interests? Have we already given up on that idea?

We already have BASIC equal opportunity, no???

You actually can use hold an electric fan and have it blow into your own sail, and get your craft to move that way. It's not efficient, but it works.

You can make one yourself. Just bolt an electric fan to a simple rig on wheels and a simple sail for it to blow into. Turn on the fan and it will move. Physics does work that way.
Energy is not being created anywhere, entropy is not being decrease anywhere, you are simply taking the energy from a power plant and using it to push your sail along.

You CAN blow into your sail and get a craft to move that way. Huffing and puffing yourself would work, if you could generate enough power that way to overcome the friction. You are simply converting chemical energy into mechanical energy the hard way.

Only if there's a way to redirect the air you're blowing behind you, you know, like turning around and not blowing into the sail to begin with.
