I just talked about this on another thread. It's the final run at glory for all those Woodstock hippies and CNN/MSNBC viewers. I've also noticed an increase in cartoon characters, not sure why exactly, I can only assume it's what they identify as, lol.
 
Despite Diogenes stupidity that old people are not the group in society who have the most experience in our society with the worlds and America's past flirtations with fascism, imperialism, government dictatorial rule, etc, etc, that is what is called a 'self evident truth'.

It is impossible that the oldest people would not have the most experience as they have all the experiences of everyone younger plus more due to being older. So as always, all Diogenes does is highlight his own stupidity by trying to deny it.

There is another self evident truth captured by the statement "those who do not learn from (forget) history are doomed to repeat it", so this attempt to mock the generation who fought against many of these things and had parents and grandparents who did, as if it is wrong, laughable or not serious because 'look at them they are old', is just magat stupidity.

There is no one more credibly on this topic than seniors, and especially seniors who are veterans. If you have seniors coming out saying 'this is wrong', 'this is tipping towards fascism', 'this must be stopped', there is no group better positioned to assess that.
