Yeah, I still got it

I realize you probably don't care, but its such a thrill, I had to share/brag...

I have hit a home run in each of my last two Monday night league games. Last week was a laser shot. I really smashed it. Tonight's was a little less impressive, decent swing and got the bat head on the ball nicely.

I got my first grand slam a couple seasons ago, though I really did not feel like I hit that one well at all, it just carried. Still haven't had a multi-home run game but I almost did it tonight. My at bat, after the home run, i hit it solidly but got under it too much and it ended up being a towering warning track shot.

I have to admit, some of it is the technology. The composite bats they make today are sick compared to the aluminum ones I played with as a kid. But, every one has access to the same tech, so...

The real point is that you Americans have never invented any decent ball games, they have all been ripped off from other countries notably Britain. Basketball comes from netball, American football from rugby and baseball from British Baseball aka rounders. I won't even mention tennis, golf, squash, pool/snooker, hockey, football, table tennis or bowling..oops I just did. Cricket is something that we have bequeathed to nations that are sophisticated enough to appreciate it.

America is the melting pot, we take what is good, make it better, then dominate.

As I said, nation envy. It makes you look silly and petty.
