Why couldn't trump just call it what it was, a business transaction? People would understand that. He didn't need to pretend he did it out of the goodness of his heart.

So he lies and claims to have donated the plane to Mandela's use, which he did not. He goes on to claim he took Mandela "under his wings." Mandela was much older and more experienced than trump. trump might as well have called Mandela "boy".

It is absolutely certain that trump collected no expenses nor profits. Any money collected went to the creditors. trump had lost ownership rights to the receivership. he had no rights to collect money, or to decide how much money to collect.

If trump was "generous" with assets held in receivership, it is called EMBEZZLEMENT!!! If you can prove that, trump is going to prison.
In fairness, trump made no profit off this. he was not actually involved in this. It would be fair to paint him as a liar, but not a profiteer, in this case.

trump is a liar, and a racist. There are other cases where he stole money, like paying his son's $7 Boy Scout membership out of a charity's money, but in this case he was just a liar.
