Im about ready to give up on Obama and the democrats as bought out.

The President better be pulling a HUGE can of whoopass out of the pantry.

I suggest a number 10 can.

It's not like they're doing anything different today than they've been doing the last 20 years, why turn on them now?

I,m just wondering what the republicans think of the open number ten can now that its Open?

I think:

1) The public does not like having politicians open a 'number 10' can on them

2) The public does not like having politicians open a 'number 10' can on the future of this country

3) The public does not like having politicians open a 'number 10' can on their childrens future

As the debt continues to skyrocket out of control (aka... Bush's third term)... the public will realize they got 'more of the same' instead of 'hope and change'. The youth in this country are already falling back into their coma's. The odds of rallying them to the voting booth in numbers reminiscent of 2008 any time in the near future are slim to none and slim is getting his ass kicked by that number 10 can right now.

How many ounces in a number 10 can?
Answer
There are 12 Cups (3 quarts) or 96 ounces in a number 10 can, by volume.

If they voted for him to open up a "number 10" can of rotten meat then his poll numbers wouldn't continue to drop.

word, still after kicking the republicans ass good on healthcare I think evince is right we need another can. Otherwise dems won't realize thier testicles actually did decend.

What many of you refuse to realise is many Americans wanted him to open this can on day one.

And I was one of them. I'm on record as wanting these commie bastards to go as far and fast left that they possibly can, since that would shock the silent majority into action. Now we have the TEA party movement along with many others who finally realize that the Democrat Party is terrible for America. The next two election cycles will reflect the will of the People and hopefully then we'll have politicians who can swing the pendulum just as hard to the right and get America back on track.

And what you still can't realize is that more Americans didn't.

What they got during the election cycle (we'll meet with everybody and actually get their ideas, integrate them, and openly discuss this legislation, the citizens will have input at town hall meetings (the input wasn't just ignored, it was flat met with an all out war on their own constituencies), even the insurers with have a "seat" at the table, it will ALL be on C-Span so you'll get to watch, blah, blah, most open Administration, legislation, once it hits my desk, will be posted for 5 days BEFORE I sign it so you all can read, understand, and give an opinion on what I am signing...) didn't happen.

And when the constituencies gave their opinion it wasn't just ignored, they were told that they "will get to like it once they find out what is in there"... People feel that they shouldn't have to be just now "finding out" what was in legislation that was promised to be openly and trasnparently debated, created, argued, etc.

There is no bringing in people who want you dead from the momment you enter office.

There is no bringing in people who are against what they used to be for because you adopted their ideas.

It occurs to me its Republicans who LOVE to point out that we live in a representative democracy.

Obama is representin'.

Get used to the 12 Cups (3 quarts) or 96 ounces in a number 10 can, by volume.

You seemed to think it was great when we had a "desider"

Now we have a "representor".

Had they actually been that open from the beginning nobody would be able to get away with being "against" their own ideas. The reality is, had he done what he said he would during the campaign we wouldn't be having these issues and he wouldn't be dropping in the polls. Instead they simply ignored constituencies and therefore you get the subsequent result that is apparent. You ignore your own constituency and "forget" promises of "transparency" to your own detriment.

You know me, I disliked Bush immensely and thought he was bad for the republican party and led them down a path of spending irresponsibly that I said would lead America to distrust them and not show up to polls. I've heard people ask, "Where was the TEA Party before Obama got in office?" My answer is, "They were the ones that refused to vote for another republican because they overspent and forgot to be conservative and who finally decided to speak rather than remain silent."

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "It's the spending, Stupid."

If Obama were a "representer" (or representor (sic)), he wouldn't have ignored what his constituency had to say about the legislation he was about to shove down their throats.

The people voted for the direction he is taking.

There are no surprises in his path.

He in fact is not as liberal as many (me included) hoped but the FACTS are the path was voted on and he won the votes.

I remember how PISSED the right used to get when Clinton paid attention to the polls.

Now all of the sudden Polls are Gods to the Rs.

The polls change.

The votes are what counts in a representative democracy.

It's what the man ran on, Desh. When it comes to important things (transparency, specific descriptions of how huge programs like this would be done, etc.) he isn't doing what he said he would do, and it seems that it is only in the very important bits is he doing that. It's rather the opposite of the way it should go.

It only tastes racid to those who lost the election.

To most it tastes too mild and was opened late.

There are more on the shelf and hes reaching for them.

I like having a "representor" instead of a desider.

Not true, if such were the case polls of "likely voters" would show that it was, at the least, 53% approved. It is clear he lost some of the people who "won" the election (if you count it as those who voted for him.), and that he is continuing to drop the support of many of those same people.

What you have is another "decider" who tries to represent himself as a "representer", the problem is people have begun to see through that ruse.

Nope.

Hes a "representor".

Hed was voted in on a certain set of ideas.

He won and is now doing what he ALWAYS felt was the best for the US.

Bush claimed to be a compassionate conservative and then did what the fuck ever ge wanted and it was NOT good for the US by any sane persons estimate.

Obama is doing what you campaigned on. Hes being bipartisan as much as he possibly can in this insane atmosphere. The right apposes ANYTHING he does right out of the box even when he adopts their OWN fucking ideas. So all he has left is adopting their ideas when they make some sense. As it stands all the right has left is automatic opposition. Their own ideas they have had to trash and belittle. The only ideas they have left are the losing ideas. You know the ones that have already crashed the world economy twice in one lifetime now.

The polls are a reflection of the lies the corporate whore republican party has pumped out.

The lies still work, just not as well as they used to when NO ONE challenged them.
