If I'm not mistaken you have me by a few years. You said you were in SAC in the 50's I didn't join up till 65. Hence the old bastard.

Yeah. I enlisted in April of 1954...at 17. I quit high-school in order to join...and damn near had to forge my parents signature to get in. They were dead against it...and I was dead against school.

Worked out nicely, though. My time in SAC was awesome. The Command (under Curtis LeMay) was the baddest-ass that had ever existed up 'til then. I was a desk jockey...and almost always managed to work at the highest level...Wing or Group.

The middle class is being crushed by the destruction of unions and tax policy that favors the wealthy. It is not attributable to minorities. Not all work requires advanced degrees and experience. There are lots of working poor who are crushed by a very low and stagnant min. wage. Workers' wages have stopped growing for 60 years as the power of the wealthy was wielded.
The poor live lives of quiet desperation. we are the least generous country in regard to medical care and support for the poor.

Hi Politalker, I said illegal immigrants. There is a rather large difference between legal and illegal immigrants. Even people who work are eligible for "the dole". In many cases, without it, even working people wouldn't be able to afford to live in Commiefornia.

Accelerated wealth inequality is the result of the class war, not immigrants, legal or otherwise.

The vulnerable and impoverished have no say in the decision-making that favors the rich and powerful in this country.

Not lacking empathy for and not having animosity toward people of color does not require wallowing in white guilt.

Determining to denigrate Euro-Americans will not be the best way for the underprivileged and exploited segments of non-white America to achieve equality and justice.

Determination to make ethnicity a non-issue by all parties involved is what will bring positive change.
