Unfortunately I see no way out of the Electoral College mess.

Donald Trump, moron that he is, seems to think that the Electoral College favors the Democrats. Perhaps there is a way to get the moron to prompt congress and his moronic supporters...to initiate an amendment to change that feature of our Republic.

One other thing not mentioned.

If the Senate were allocated by population...rather than the way it is...

...this vote happening today would be even more of a joke than it is.

As it is, though, it is almost certain to go south. The 60 votes are just not there.

Wyoming has less than 600,000 people whose interests are represented in the Senate by 2 senators.

California has 40,000,000 people whose interests are represented in the Senate by 2 senators.

If California had two senators for every 600,000 people…they’d be represented by 133 senators.
