You Trumppers were sure China would attack Taiwan.

I am pro Trump, pro MAGA, pro revolt against the failed elite class.....

I have said for a couple of years now that the CCP has no intention of solving the Province of Taiwan problem through military invasion....if if comes to this it will be considered a failure of the Party.

Uh, Trump is the failed elite class.

He is doing something to stop Russia in Ukraine, why would it be so different? If he wouldn't, then why hasn't China attacked?

You trumppers exist on pretend events, that you are sure would or are going to happen. When these events dont happen, you stop addressing them.

Before it was recession, now its Taiwan.

It was caravans and impeachment and no way Biden would last 4 years. You kooks can only live in what you say will happen in the future, because the present and past have too many facts.

Hes doing shit

Please... He made a point to tell Biden not to interfere with his plans for Taiwan. <SMH>...

Though I hear their apartment buildings are falling apart and his economy may be in tatters (literally hear, not read about so no links). So, possibly he's doing a bit of both. Dunno...

China has a bigger Navy than us, and hypersonic missiles, which we do not officially have... however their "bigger" Navy includes coastal boats that we normally count as Coast Guard vessels, as well as frigates and other lightly armored vessels and fewer destroyers, aircraft carriers, and submarines... In short, we are still far more powerful than they are on the seas.

If Biden projected any strength whatsoever we'd have a bit less problems with Russia and in the Middle East, these folks don't wait for the "strong" Presidents to start bombing Israel to "test them" and Russia waited only until they believed they had pipelines that no longer relied on Ukraine to send fuel to Europe to attack the Ukraine. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to understand that they aren't doing it now because they are afraid of Biden.

They wait for the weak presidents to act out because they understand that the weak presidents will spend more time telling Israel not to "attack a hospital" as if they normally would do something like that rather than telling Israel to do what is necessary to beat Hamas and hopefully get some leadership in there that would agree to a two state solution. They wait for the leaders who draw lines in the sand (anyone remember Obama's "Red Line" debacle?) and do nothing when they are crossed.

I hope that Biden's handlers can convince Xi that he won't get away with invading Taiwan, even though the whispering idiot will be looking at his crotch notes while he speaks. Let's hope that they can convince Xi that even though he can't function someone who can is there and they will do something... otherwise we are hosed.

I'm glad you are here to share your perspective.

We are not always very polite to each other on this board. In fact, we can be extremely rude and crude here. So don't take it personally. :0)

We do not talk like this in real life, very often. It is very rare.

Jack Ma, founder of alibaba, is famous and respected here.

Thank you.
The reason why I didn't answer their questions is that their questions were somewhat foolish. China's political system was formed during the wars of the Chinese revolution. You can consider the highest leader as the commander of an army, and of course he has the highest power. However, like all armies in the world, when making decisions, you need military Staff Officer, intelligence analysis, think tanks, and opinions from frontline commanders. That is a complex decision-making process. It's better not call China's leader a dictator, because he is not a dictator.

Glad to see you back. I think you are the only poster here from China.

Yes, and China does not use its military often. Some say, because your leaders have been afraid to surrender power to even staff officers, for fear of a revolution.

I will try to respect your wishes and not use the D word. What can we call Xi?

Many Americans think "Tank Man" at Tiananmen square in 1989 is the bravest man in China.

You didn't read my post or you are just not bothering to try to make sense any longer.

Americans know almost nothing about China, but they invest a lot of emotions and are always very angry when talking about China. In my opinion, this is somewhat absurd. I know some books that discuss this topic, such as the “The China Mirage”.But this is a era that people don't read too much book. It is a pity.
And I can tell you ,in China ,we ordinary people feel fortunate that our country has not been influenced by these people(this tank man and the power behind him).
It is obvious that during that special historical period, we absolutely did not want to become another Soviet Union, nor did we want to become another Russia.

China does what is best for China. This is expected.

Yes, Americans do feel the Chinese have outsmarted us internationally in some ways. So we get mad that China ignores patent and copyright laws.

IMO, Tank Man was acting as an individual, spontaneously and alone. So we will disagree.

He's a symbol, isn't he?
More general scenario: If 100000 people gather together to protest against something, how can you judge the nature(or the main theme) of the event? You may think that judging from people's slogans.
But the fact is often very cruel: the nature of the event depends on the person interviewed by media such as BBC, CNN, and Reuters.
It doesn't matter how many people gather outside the room. The person interviewed by Western media in the room determines how you foreigners view this event.
