Sports reporter Carron Phillips later wrote on Monday that 'a Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time.'

But others pointed out the other half of the child's face - one not seen in the initial picture - was painted team color red.

He also took a shot at the headdress, which the team has banned since 2020, saying the fan 'doubled up' on racism by wearing the clothes some consider 'cultural appropriation.'

This is a 9 year old kid with his face painted half black half red the team colors. It is SHAMEFUL to accuse a kid of racism when he is obviously just being a fan. The kids face was black on the right and red on the left. Carron whose name should be spelled Karen only posted a right profile picture of the kid's face to make it look like he was in blackface. His mom says they are of Native American ancestors also.

Carron is a Racist Hack!

There is no excuse for his critical mistake in judgement!

When you carry a racist chip on your shoulder, it will eventually show up sooner or later!

He will hopefully be fired for his shit-stirring comments and banned from the sports writing sphere!

The only thing that may save his job, is if he were to publicly apologize to this lad, and his parents, and the entire Kansas City Team, and their fans across the country on National TV.

Short of that- give him the Boot and forget him- as he is now TOAST!

The story is making first page headlines by now on every sports pages section of every newspaper across the country.

I listened to sports radio am 610 today for about 4 hours and wasn't brought up once...my bet is because the writer is black is why it wasnt talked about....but they did talk about the NASCAR garage door pull rope...it was a racist rope u know
