Easy mode?? It has been within my lifetime that women have been guaranteed equal pay for doing the same job a man does.

It has been in my lifetime that the majority of women have gone from homemaker to members of our workforce.

As far as avoiding marriage (questionable), what exactly is the advantage to getting married? Look at the number of domestic violence cases in a given year.

There was a time, not so long ago, that women had severe limitations of what kind of job they could get.
