Congratulations to me! My persistent investigation into the "rescue" of the Gerstle family by George Zimmerman has born fruit with national attention!

After notifying local media of the relationship between the officer who "investigated" the accident, the truth about Zimmy and Officer Rehder is being released. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing implodes by the end of the week.

The deputy who responded to the crash that prompted George Zimmerman to pull over is under fire over Facebook comments.
Zimmerman was acquitted recently in the death of Trayvon Martin.

Seminole County road patrol Deputy Patrick Rehder had been on the force for just five months when posts from his Facebook set off controversy.
After a traffic stop on Father's Day, Rehder posted on Facebook, "I don't ever want to here all cops are (expletive) ever again. I let off a father who was on his way back from the beach on Father’s Day. It just so happens that the guy was an illegal alien, with an 4-year expired license. However, he is better then the (expletive) bums that don’t work, and don’t support their family. At least this man has a job, pays taxes and supports his family.”

The posts caught the eye of the Sheriff's Office, as well as concerned citizens, who emailed Eyewitness News.

"I don't think he should be posting anything on that. It's one of those jobs that you're supposed to have confidentiality. I don't think he was respecting his badge at that time," Seminole County resident Tracey Garrant said.

He also made several posts about an all-white jury of women and media coverage of the Zimmerman trial.

The Sheriff's Office said Rehder didn't violate any policies, but was counseled about his postings.

"You got to be careful, what you put out there," Jiselle Cabral said.

Thursday, his Facebook page had been taken down.

Note: Although Rehder has washed his former Facebook, Twitter and other accounts, as well as racist postings on criminal justice forums during the trial, for some reason (after deleting it) he's created a new Facebook page for...

Rehder's relationship with the Gerstle's. Apparently he's related to Gerstle's wife.

Rehder and Zimmerman took criminal justice courses together.

UPDATE 7/26: Explanation of our information: After deep digging & gradual convincing, a family member of Officer Patrick Rehder’s became a source by hoping to extinguish this situation once & for all so that the scrutiny & chaos surrounding the individuals involved would stop. They envisioned having to go into hiding like George Zimmerman if someone did not answer to the conspiracies & skepticism. The family member confirmed in a phone call that they saw a text call log with the name “George” associated with it, time stamped 5:51PM eastern. Family member also confirmed phone records show a series of calls prior to 7/17 between the Officer & the same number labelled “George” in the phone.

Great New Orleans creation. Usually on a big round roll - kind of like an italian hero, but they make this olive/veggie spread to top it off that really sets it apart.

Can't really get 'em anywhere else.
