Trump clearly wanted the violence and wanted to stop the certification of the electoral count so that he could stay President.

I'm going to agree w/ those who said that he enjoyed it.

I don't think there is any doubt about that. Why else would he wait 3 hours to call his cult off? He didn't panic & freeze. That isn't something Trump does.

He's a pure narcissist. He loved that everyone was there fighting & attacking the Capitol for HIM.
