In both cases, our nation simply refused to allow a vagina in the White House. Nothing more. More so with Harris, as people tend to opt for 'something new' when times are good. Obama left the nation in fantastic shape, and America hadn't met the con man yet. They figured they'd give the reality t.v. actor a shot. What could possibly go wrong?

Biden left the nation in fantastic shape too, but this nation will never elect a woman POTUS. Thousands of Dem. voting women said exactly that. Add to that the bullshit about Netanyahu's war crimes being Biden's fault. A perfect storm for destroying the nation with a criminal buffoon.

Now you'll get REALLY screwed! I work in the construction sector and our stock is dropping as expected but if it gets worse I assume my job is going away. I'm genuinely worried now. I hope the vast majority of the earth's economists are wrong and this will all be OK.

Nope. This isn’t an REI or r.e. stocks. If I do nothing I continue to receive passive income.
But I won’t ’do nothing’. I’ve taken enough courses with my consortium to continue to look for and find opportunities. And I’ll take more. Knowledge is power.

No one is suggesting otherwise. But for some of us who wanted to retire in a few years we have lost VALUABLE and UNRECOVERABLE $$$$. Money we will not have the time or ability to recover.

The financial meltdown recovered nicely until the Fauci Flu hit. And you can blame authoritarian local regressive governments for the lockdowns which in hindsight were uncalled for.

Rental income is fine, until another trump virus hits and people stop paying rent.

Statistics prove you wrong re shutdowns that began under trump. Red states that chose to ignore science had far more dead bodies stacked in refrigerated trailers.

Prices never came down after the trump virus ended. On anything, but especially building materials. You'll see the same thing as last time. Only the wealthy will continue to build new homes, or renovate. I stayed busy during Covid, but mainly with customers who were putting off renovations for years and now had time off.
Funds tend to have major swings when trump is on office, but many stocks are fine.

I still have almost half of my money in fixed income, and the 4 1/2%-5 1/2% is looking good right now.
