Say his name

Wasn't he with his team?
No, it was a track meet. They were both football players, so just watching the games. Anthony was just sheltering from the rain, when Metcalf decided that Blacks were not allowed to be in the tent. We all know that if Metcalf had not punched Anthony, everyone would be alive today.

Or were you speaking of Metcalf? Metcalf was with several of his friends when he assaulted Anthony. I do not know if they were on his football team, but they may have been.

Athlete should have a knife in his athletic bag.
They were spectators.

He told the other young man to touch him and see what happens.
Saying, "touch me again, and see what happens", is not telling them to touch you. It is warning against them touching you. When that is responded to with a punch, that is called assault. And notice the "again" part of it. That means an assault had already happened.

That kind of means he was threatening to cause him great harm with a weapon.
It means stop assaulting, or something bad will happen. You have a thug hitting a Black kid screaming "niggers" are not allowed under the tent, and you are saying the thug is being "threatened"? I guess in a sense he was threatened that if he did not stop assaulting the Black kid, the Black kid would fight back... But that is a legal threat to make.

From the sounds of it he didn't hesitate at all
Anthony first moved away. Then he asked several times for Metcalf to just leave him alone. When punched, he gave a warning, when punched again, he retrieved his knife, and finally when Metcalf attempted to punch a third time Anthony used the knife. The entire dispute took between 10 and 15 minutes... During which Anthony repeated called for help, unfortunately no one wanted to stand up to Metcalf's gang.

10 to 15 minutes sounds like a lot of hesitation to me.

But this should have never turned into a "fight"...Why would you tell someone "touch me" and see what happens, knowing full well what you were going to do...
When someone is attacking you, a moral person would warn them off, which is what Anthony did.

My question is why were Metcalf's gang trying to put a beatdown on Anthony?

I don't imagine there's a coach or teacher in the country not discussing this...
For 10 to 15 minutes, this group of thugs were screaming the N-word, and demanding that a spectator gets out from under a tent, and no teacher intervened? What is wrong with this school?

Where does all this information come from? I need a link For sure... Neither one of them are on track teams?10-15 minutes? Yet if he felt he was being attacked , he didn't move away? You're making it sound like you were there, And i'm pretty sure you probably were not...so I'm sure you have a link to video evidence.. Or Transcripts That have been verified that Prove what you're saying... Is gather them up for me would you?

Zimmerman was justified to defend himself from attack as a judge and jury adjudicated.
They found him not guilty, but that is not the same as innocent. And I do not believe that the prosecutor put on a good case. The jury all remarked that it was "late at night", when it was provably 7:00 in the evening. They also said they believed Zimmerman's testimony. Zimmerman never testified, because his testimony would have been proven wrong by the physical evidence. His uncross examined statement was shown to the jury, which they then mistook for testimony. Much of the physical evidence was never presented, and that which was, was not emphisized.

The fact is that when Zimmerman hung up the phone on the 911 operator, it was shortly after 7:00 in the evening. We can hear the police sirens in the background, so less than a minute later they would be there. Zimmerman had been chasing Martin for several minutes, and Zimmerman said he was getting out of the car to attack Martin. The 911 operator begged him not to do that.

If we believe Zimmerman, he was teleported through time to a point late at night. Martin had vanished, and Zimmerman decided to look for directions in a neighborhood he "patrols" every night. At that point Martin magically appeared behind him attacking him.

Witnesses say that the shorter man jumped out of a car and tackled the taller man. Police decided that even though Martin was taller, because he was younger, he must have been the shorter man. Blood splatters show that the shooter was on top.

Zimmerman claims that Martin bashed his head against the concrete... Have you ever seen someone who has had their head bashed against concrete... I can tell you, that Zimmerman would have needed medical aid if that had happened. I mean a lot.

But most kids don't fight by stabbing someone in the heart... at a track meet...
It was a chaotic situation. Metcalf was attacking, and Anthony was standing his ground. When a knife is in play, all sorts of things can happen in close quarters fighting. But in not close quarters fighting, they can not happen. If Metcalf had not been attacking, he would have been safe.

I'm waiting for links...Thank you so much... I'm a retired high school teacher and coach so I am very familiar with what happens in school and at these kind of events... That is why I am asking you to back up the stories you've been telling...

Let's cut to the chase. Martin saw himself as a "gangsta". Zimmerman saw himself as a police officer but was too stupid to be a cop.

On that night there were two idiots looking for trouble. Your description of the events and timeline are not the way I recall it:
1. Zimmerman does give chase but stops when told to do so. He's assumed Martin had run out the opposite entrance to the apartment complex and was walking back to his car.
2. Martin had not gone out the side entrance, but had turned toward his dad's apartment and then hid in the bushes. He saw the pudgy "Creepy ass cracker" and moved out from hiding to confront him.
3. The confrontation becomes physical with Martin on top of Zimmerman beating him and pounding his head on the cement sidewalk.
4. Zimmerman pulls a gun and shoots a single shot into Martin's chest.

A witness described the altercation as beginning when Metcalf approached Anthony, who was seated beneath a tent belonging to Metcalf’s team, and asked him to move. According to the witness, Anthony reached into his bag, opened it, and then inserted his hand inside. The report further states that Anthony had warned Metcalf, saying, "Touch me and see what happens."

The situation escalated when Metcalf allegedly touched Anthony, prompting him to say, "Punch me and see what happens." Metcalf then grabbed Anthony to move him, at which point, Anthony pulled out a black knife and stabbed Metcalf in the chest. He fled the scene shortly afterward, leaving Metcalf with a serious wound.

No mention that the word nigger was used in the report..

Anthony did state "touch me see what happens" and "punch me see what happens" AFTER he had weapon in his hand...he was provoking at that time!

Touch me see what happens and Punch me and see what happens.

He knew he was going to stab him and was provoking him.. and he even readied himself by opening the bag and reaching inside to grab the weapon BEFORE he said .. Touch me see what happens and Punch me and see what happens...... cant use self defense

If it was self defense, how did he have time to reach down unzip his bag and pull out a knife on someone who he said was hurting him?
Link to where he reached down to unzip his bag and pull out a knife. It's not in the police report, Canuck.

So he reached in bag grabbed the weapon and provoked Metcalf by stating ....Touch me see what happens and Punch me and see what happens.

The deadly incident began when Metcalf asked Anthony to move from under a tent set up for Metcalf’s track team, witnesses told police, according to a probable cause affidavit previously obtained by PEOPLE.

Anthony responded by reaching into his backpack and allegedly saying, "Touch me and see what happens,” a witness said, according to the affidavit.

The witness said Metcalf touched Anthony, who allegedly responded by daring Metcalf to punch him.

When Metcalf grabbed Anthony to try to move him, Anthony allegedly pulled out a knife, stabbed Metcalf in the chest and then ran away, according to the affidavit.

So he was asked to leave the team tent ....thats when he reached into his back pack...WHY? To grab the weapon

He said touch me and see what happens...WHY?...So he could stab him with the weapon already in his hand

I guess People.com forgot to include all the people that were yelling nigger at him for 10 or 15 mins?

An eyewitness told police that Metcalf asked Anthony to move out from under the tent that had been set up for members of his high school track team on the field that day.

Anthony then reached into his bag according to the eyewitness, and told Metcalf: "Touch me and see what happens."

The eyewitness said Metcalf touched Anthony, at which time Anthony allegedly told him to punch him and see what happens, according to the affidavit.

Metcalf then went to physically move Anthony, which is when Anthony allegedly pulled a knife out of his bag, stabbed Metcalf in the chest, and fled from the tent, according to the eyewitness,

The entire altercation lasted less than 30 seconds, according to the affidavit, and multiple eyewitnesses backed up this version of events.

The entire altercation lasted less than 30 seconds

What about the group of evil racist yelling nigger at him for 10 of 15 mins:laugh:
