lol many kids my age had jobs at 14, unlike you, who has probably never had one yet. I worked the gate at a drive in movie; it was really hard; I had to count the people in the car and have them pay to get in n stuff, make change and hand them ticket stubs. Some pumped gas and worked in garages, back when gas stations were full service. They had such complicated and dangerous things to do, like washing windows, checking the oil levels, and airing up tires n stuff, immensely complex and far too hazardous for today's yoofs ...

As a Permanent Legal Alien, they will never be allowed to vote. But after another 10 years of not committing any crimes, AND not attempting in any way to vote, the should be allowed to apply for citizenship. 20 years of Good Behavior, and you get a second chance. As an American Citizen, they would, of course, be able to vote.
