DeSaster has quickly made himself into a political has-been. Many people in Florida now despise him. Trump will trounce DeSaster in Florida in the primary, even WITH the RNC gameplaying there, and the lawfare against Trump, and etc.

He can only be governor for the remainder of this term, then he is term limited. Then after four years he could run for governor again.

He would've been much better off (politically speaking) if he would've "waited his turn" until 2028. However, he got offered a boatload of money by the RNC, with a promise that Trump would be "taken care of" via lawfare, which would then pave the way for him to be the "Top Gov" 'savior'. Now, that plan isn't working and he's ruined his political career (especially in Florida). At least now he's got enough money to be set for multiple lifetimes. Hope he's happy.
