After all the venting and stupid rants, is it time to get realistic...

You're one of the real dopey posters here. I said it didn't work, and likely wouldn't.

So - what's your point? It's an ineffective policy, because it didn't work in CT?

Now here is exactly what poor thing1 posted.....

It's about a gun free zone being enforced.

Gun free zones are effective all across America, and for the most part, keep guns off of school grounds.

And what did I ask poor thingy1....

how would enforcing that law work....how would it have be effective ? Who would have enforced the law ?

So what is it....effective or ineffective ?....Is posting a sign outside the school effective ?
How does it work for you Thingy....is it effective at all, if it fails to keep guns out of the school....Thingy ought to THINK....
Who enforces this rule ?....how does that part work ?

Or if you REALLY consider the rule...is it mostly nonsense....? A typical 'feel good' rule that is in essence, useless in the real world of criminals....

After all the pinhead rants, name calling, and emotion fulled lashing out,

.....not one reasonable, thought out, workable, or Constitutional suggestion that would have prevented the shooting in CT or make children safer in their schools.........................not one....

You don't have to reveal anything of a personal nature sweetie....just shove off.

No guns in homes where there are mentally ill people. Simple solution.

Put on your thinking cap for a moment. :) He tried to buy a gun and was denied. That means HE HAD NO GUN. So, if his wacko mother didn't have any in her house Adam wouldn't have got a gun. Surely even you can follow that reasoning. Or am I asking too much?

But why do support the idea that it's OK to have a car, when somone on the house is mentally ill?
What happens if they gain access to it and kill someone?

Amen brother.

So you agree with Mr. Applesauce.....

I asked "How will you go about finding all these 'mentally ill' people and in spite of the Constitution, remove all the guns from the homes they live in...."

So Mr. 2digitIQ, lets hear the way you're going to do this ........

Are you not aware at all how effective gun free zones have been in schools all over the country?

How many guns have been confiscated? How many students have been suspended or expelled?

Wow - I feel bad for you. Why are you partaking in this discussion without even knowing about that?

What a fool.

What a fool.

School children were NEVER allowed to bring a gun to school ever....not even before the "gun free zone" crap.....
As a matter of fact, school age children were never allowed to have a gun ANYWHERE.....gun free zone or not...other than hunting with an adult and under supervision...
and they still have that right.
Get real for a change.....The gun free zone was to prevent adults with a gun permit from entering a 'gun free zone' with a firearm and had nothing to do with the kids.

Ironically, an adult with a licensed firearm at the right time in that CT school might have prevented the entire thing.

So.....what else ya got in the way of new gun laws....

Gun free zones make children safer, dumbo.

Like we already concluded.....it didn't work in CT and won't work anywhere else where a insane person wants to crash a school or a movie theater or shopping mall, etc.
with a gun.......thats reality

Because it didn't work in CT, and doesn't work against insane people, it doesn't work, period.

Gun nutter logic, exposed.

The answer is obvious. Ban all guns!

How would go about finding all these 'mentally ill' people?....this nuts Mother wasn't mentally ill, she owned the guns legally

The mother knew he was mentally ill. The neighbors had a good idea he was a little "off". His past teachers knew he had a problem. And they probably all knew she was a gun nutter. Of course, if she lived in a community of nutters we can understand why no one expressed concern.

If there was a law against having guns in a home with a mentally ill person then situations like this would come to light.

Having a 'problem' and being declared 'mentally ill' is two very different things.....

I suspect you're 'mentally ill' as well as have a 'problem'.....but I can't take your guns away....

Its takes more than being a little 'off' to forfeit your rights....

Not to belittle your point......not allowing guns in the residence of mentally ill person has some merit......
