Tea Is The New Kool-Aid
A country has momentum. Changes don't just happen overnight. To see the significance of changes, you have to wait a while.

America Pre-Bush was paying off the national debt. Business was good. Economy was good. Clinton even gave some tax cuts to the rich because he recognized we were paying the debt too fast and wanted to pay it slow and steady.

Then Bush hit. Even though we were barely in a surplus, he cuts taxes which have cost our debt $1.2 Trillion. The Patriot Act. 2 unconstitutional wars, first one based on a lie and the second one due to people angry about the first one attacking our country. He moved the funding for the wars out of National Defense so people wouldn't see the real cost $1.4 Trillion. He cut funding to anti-terrorism just before 9-11. He funded FEMA for Katrina, but didn't raise taxes to pay for it. AmericasArmy the video game, a free game payed for by tax payers, around $50 Million by now. No child left behind, costs money but still no tax increase. He stopped the ban on Assault weapons which has America near civil war today. He stopped regulation on oil industries which allows oil fracking which is killing people today. He made trade more free which encourages outsourcing and we don't see many products today made in the USA. The "Iran Freedom and Support Act" which was $10 Million which was basiclaly the beginning of the plan to go to war with Iran. He was knowingly gun running weapons through the ATF. The Homeland Security Act. Free cell phones, formerly know by uninformed Americans as Obamaphones. The auto bailouts. It's no wonder he had to make this speech after bending our Country for corporate gain;

Because Bush can't just suck. You gotta drag Obama into a Bush thread. You are correct. Just know it's harder to get out of mess once in it. Also realize the president has minmal power and we have had a majority Right Wing Congress between Bush/Obama.

Your subject title is America, Post Bush yet it's not appropriate to discuss Obama even though he followed Bush as President?

I use to say Bush was the worst Pres ever. That was until Obama came around.

Cawako, you clearly didn't read the OP, or Anti's comment. Even though some parts of this thread may suggest that it involves Obama, nothing warrants the hateful, off-topic posts by Liberty.

Saying Bush and Obama suck and are the worst Presidents ever barely scrapes the surface of what those two have been called on this board. If you find that offensive (and hate speech) this might not be the board for you.

This board is actually pretty tame compared to others I've frequented. I just have a problem with little punks whose political savvy only extends back a decade or two.

Congress spends the money and pays the debts. Read the Constitution!

During 6 of Clinton’s 8 years as President, the REPUBLICANS controlled both houses of the CONGRESS Where’s your blessings for the Republican Congress at, for the balanced budgets during Clinton? Oh! That’s right you’re a lefty and only know the leftist talking points, huh?

Furthermore, during the Clinton years and those of the Republican Congress, they together had the blessings of a “Peace Dividend” from the fall of the Soviet Union and the humongous “Dot-Com Boom” that generated a roaring economy bringing whopping tax receipts into the federal government. Neither of those events had a fucking thing to do with the actions of the Republican Congress or Clinton. The Soviet commies folded because communism/socialism doesn’t work, and market capitalism created the Dot-Com Boom.

I won’t defend anything that Bush did except to remind you that during the early years of the Bush watch, the Dot-Com Boom burst heading the country toward recession and then we had the 9-11 attacks. I’ll remind you that the majority of the Democrats in Congress voted for the unconstitutional resolutions that allowed Bush to declare the congressionally undeclared, unconstitutional wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Well there is proof that this knuckle dragging NRAZI doesn't know what he's talking about. I never said anywhere I worship or even like Obama. Obama's biggest flaws are that he didn't stop some of Bush's policies. It's not easy to get out of war once in it. Libertardians say, just get out, but you will have thousands of soldiers looking for jobs that don't exist because they are outsourced. We should absolutely be out by now, but that is a different discussion. No where in the OP does it mention Obama. Make your own separate thread about him.

The point of this thread is that Republicans use to have the best base for a party. Between being completely Libertarded and an out of control spender Liberal. Republicans use to acknowledge that certain government intervention is necessary. They also know that REAL Americans stand side by side to help each other on their worst times, just like Democrats. Republicans just use to cut the expensive fat off of the American steak.

But since Bush has become this protected President and they won't acknowledge that he was a terrible President, everyone in the future will think what Bush did was ok by Republicans. It's a big reason Romney lost (one of the many). During the campaign they even used signs with Bush on them that said, "Miss me yet" glorifying him.

If people keep protecting him another Republican President will slip in just like him. Because we all know a Libertardian doesn't stand a chance. Your only chance of ruling this country is war. It's why you rely on cult meetings, studies and brainwashing.

Oh, I'm fully aware of the Libertardian and Republican perspective. When a Lefty does good it has everything to do with Congress (Clinton). If a Lefty does bad it has nothing to do with Congress (today). Learning and debating the Republicans is easy. Learning and debating the Left is difficult. Learning and debating Libertarian a knuckle dragging monkey could do. Actually learning what all parties stand for and why is extremely difficult.
