Police are looking for a suspect in a shooting that occurred this afternoon on Hudson Avenue.
Police responded to the call around 1:15 p.m.
The suspect was walking north through the area when he spotted his “intended victim” on a bike headed south, officials said. While he fired several rounds at the biker, police said he missed and struck a bystander.

A man has died and another man is in custody after a shooting Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Calvary Christian School in Meridian. The shooting happened just before 1 p.m.
Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler confirmed the death.
Meridian police initially released very few details. However, a suspect was taken into custody on the scene.
People on the scene said the parking lot was riddled with gun shell casings.
This is Thanksgiving break so no children were at school when the shooting happened.
The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance but did not survive.

A man from Alaska was killed in a hunting accident in the town of Caledonia in Columbia County, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The DNR told News 3 a 35-year-old Wisconsin woman was in a tree stand when a 39-year-old man was handing a .308 caliber rifle up to her just before 9 a.m. Sunday. The woman had mittens on and grasped the gun around the trigger. The weapon discharged and the man took a bullet just below the armpit.
The man was taken to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and then flown to UW Hospital in Madison, where he was pronounced dead.

A man was killed after being found shot inside a vehicle in the Montbello neighborhood early Monday morning, the Denver Police Department said.
Police responded to shots fired near Peoria Street and East 47th Avenue where the found the victim inside the vehicle.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.

A woman allegedly shot her son and another friend as they were driving home from a casino in Bossier City, Louisiana, then tried to pretend that she'd been kidnapped.
Dora Blake, 47, was purportedly celebrating her birthday when she fatally shot her son, 22-year-old Patrick, in the head and injured the other woman.
Authorities have yet to determine a motive, but investigators said Monday that Blake was "quite intoxicated" at the time of the shooting.

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office reported that it received a call about a gunshot victim on Gurno Lake Road at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday.
Sheriff's deputies arrived to find a man dead at the scene from a gunshot. A few minutes later, a male suspect turned himself into the Sheriff's Office.

Shortly before midnight, the Gwinnett County Police Department received a tip of a possible dead body inside a residence.
Officers found the body of a young man. They confirmed at least one gunshot wound, according to a news release, which said investigators won’t know if there were other injuries until an autopsy is performed.

Law enforcement is continuing its investigation into an early-morning incident that left a 25-year-old Marshalltown man with a gunshot wound to the head.
Marshall County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Steve Hoffman told the Times-Republican that at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, law enforcement officials responded to a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound at 203 Market St., in Laurel.
The man, whose identity has not be released pending notification of family, was transported by ambulance to Central Iowa Healthcare in Marshalltown and subsequently air lifted to a trauma center in Des Moines.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Dispatchers say the victim, a 20-year-old man, was picked up in Grand Rapids by an Uber driver at a bar on Ionia Avenue near Fulton Street. The driver noticed what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the victim’s leg.
Police say the victim mumbled something about getting hurt at J. Gardella’s Tavern, but police have not confirmed the exact location where the man was shot. The driver called police.
