We just had an episode here. It was sickening. The DOG got a hero's funeral and the victim's family can't even cover funeral expenses.

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A man fatally stabbed a police dog while brawling with officers at a busway in the Pittsburgh suburbs before police opened fire and killed the suspect, authorities said.
An investigation was underway Monday to determine whether officers were justified in killing Bruce Kelley Jr., 37.

Port Authority of Allegheny County police contend Kelley Jr. and his father, Bruce Kelley Sr., 60, were drinking alcohol Sunday in a busway gazebo in Wilkinsburg before they fought with officers, who sent a K-9 after the younger man. Police killed Kelley Jr. after he fatally stabbed the dog, Aren, a 5-year-old German shepherd with four years on the transit police force. Kelley's father was jailed Monday on aggravated assault and other charges. Online court records don't list an attorney for Bruce Kelley Sr., who was unable to post $300,000 bail. The officers have been placed on paid leave pending an internal review and a ruling by the district attorney on whether deadly force was justified.

Yeah, you're right.
Drunk ass combative individuals, who are drinking alcohol in public, should be allowed to kill K-9 units at will and then, the dog should just be thrown in the city dump. :palm:

When Lavardo Fisher wasn't tackling opponents on the football field, the 13-year-old boy was tackling the books in the classroom.

Sometimes, his coach recalled, the Ocoee Middle School eighth-grader would often discuss his homework assignments on the way to practice so he wouldn't forget them. And last year, he earned the distinguished title of Pop Warner All-American Scholar.

"When you think of Lavardo, you think, 'This is the kid I want my daughter to marry, this is the kid I want my daughter to go to prom with,'" said Lo Wood, who coaches Lavardo's team in Ocoee. "He was humble."

Just after 11 p.m. on Monday, Lavardo became Orange County's eighth gunshot fatality in the past week — and the youngest victim in Orange and Seminole counties this year. Lavardo was playing Xbox when he was accidentally shot in the back of the head by his cousin. The 18-year-old shooter was on a hoverboard and lost his balance, causing the gun to fire.

Brenda Thurman died after being shot in the chest by her husband Dwayne as he was disassembling her pistol for cleaning. Thurman's husband and daughter rushed her to Valley Hospital but doctors were not able to save her.

Both Brenda and her husband Dwayne had extensive experience with firearms as they had both served in the Army as military police officers, yet the medical examiner found that Brenda's death was the result of an accidental discharge.

As usual the cops overreacted. Once the guy got up and started leaving the area the cops should have left also. They had no business pumping 12 bullets into him.

OOOOHHHHHHHHH, that's how it's supposed to work.
Someone is drinking in public and then when the cops show up, THEN decides to leave, and it's your belief that the cops are supposed to ignore the drinking in public and just watch him walk away.

BUT - BUT - BUT WAIT: because you seem to have left out just a little bit of information, in your grief.

Perusing the article, at the link, some tidbits have been revealed.

According to a criminal complaint, Kelley Jr. attempted to walk away, then cursed when the officers told him to stop. He rushed one of the officers, identified only as Officer Adams in court papers, and fought with him...

...Meanwhile, Kelly Jr. fled, and several officers caught up to him a short time later. Knowing he had a knife, they tried to subdue him with a Taser, which didn't work because of the suspect's heavy coat,...

Maybe the shooter was a militiaman who ran out of snacks? :dunno:

80% of all gun crime in America is committed by gang-bangers in the inner city and most of that is over illegal drug turf created by BIG socialist, progressive authoritarian government's Drug War.

Government is corruption by definition and the BIGGER the government, the BIGGER the corruption. Only authoritarian progressive morons ignore that fact.

A young mother was shot to death Friday afternoon on the side of a street in Birmingham's Inglenook community.

The shooting happened about 12:45 p.m. on Brittain Street. Police said the gunfire followed some kind of confrontation between two women who knew each other. "There is a pre-existing history between both of the females,'' said Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards. "It appears that based off that history, they confronted each other and one of them was shot."

The victim, who family members said was 24 and had an 8-month-old baby, was pronounced dead on the scene.
