Police were called to the 3500 block of E. Overton Road at 3:17 a.m. for the report of a person shot.

Police say a witness arrived at the apartment to find 64-year-old Erma Coleman dead from a gunshot wound and called police.

An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in a South Louisville home.


Police were called out to a home on the 6500 block of Larry Lane just off Preston Highway around 3 a.m. Wednesday where they found a man described to be in his late 20's to early 30's shot to death.


The man's girlfriend and four children under the age of 12 were in the home at the time of the shooting, police said.

Agents in Nogales, Ariz., responded to reports of two suspected drugs smugglers near the border at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.


The agents watched the two abandon a load of narcotics, then run back to Mexico, according to the Border Patrol.


As the agents approached to investigate, people on the Mexican side of the border began throwing rocks at them and ignored orders to stop, the agency said.




One agent opened fire.


A Mexican official with direct knowledge of the investigation said Thursday a 16-year-old boy was killed in the shooting.
