Its hard to be sympathetic when these automaker CEOs go to congress asking for $25 billion but have no plan for how they will change their businesses, what they will use the money for, or how they will prevent it from happening again.

They just want the money, and hope no one notices they have no idea what they are doing.

Yep my thoughs as well. And I expect new car sales to be down a lot for at least 2 years. So how can they come back ?

imho better to help the workers directly than to try and keep the titanic afloat and let a bit of the bailout trickle down to the employees when most will get laid off anyway.
