Banning Individuals from Threads

I've never been on a board that allowed the Thread Starter to ban people from the threads. That's typically been a moderator function.

I suggest the board get rid of that.

What's the point of creating a thread when you're going to ban people from discussing the topic?

It eliminates noise.
Certain posters have demonstrated an inability to discuss.

I don't have a problem with banning TROLLS.

Here is what is lacking- If I ban a TROLL- I DO NOT WANT TO SEE HIS/HER COMMENTS or THREADS!

And when someone bans me- I no longer want to see his/her comments or threads ever again- nor do I want them to see mine!

That's right, when I ban someone- I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEIR BULLSHIT EVER AGAIN!

So the banning feature falls short as far as I am concerned.

Is that a fact?

Generalize much?
Yes, it is a fact. I resort to the fewest fallacies on purposes, simply for that reason.

And, it is not much of a generalization.

How I can tell right wingers are lying is because their lips are moving or they type on the Internet is a generalization. I am working on my sense of humor instead of taking it personally.

People on here seem to love banning people. I scarcely ever start threads, because I keep forgetting how, but i've never banned anyone. Surely the Ignore function is all anyone could need?
