Which in essence they did. We're searching for 'stuff' at Mar-a-Lago. We can search anywhere on the property and take as evidence anything we find...

Since Mar-a-Lago is also an exclusive resort of sorts, there are guests, etc. there in addition to Trump and family and not all of the grounds or buildings are personally occupied by Trump and family. The warrant was the equivalent of the FBI getting permission to search a hotel room by room for evidence of an unspecified crime saying that a named criminal was or might be staying there.
