Bush authorized the Plame leak

This is a crime btw.

Its a bigger crime than getting your nob polished and then lying about it.
 
It is indeed a crime. And those who did it should be punished.

But lying is not a crime. Lying under oath is a serious crime.

Not always. Sometimes it is perjury, sometimes it is obstruction that amounts to a contempt of court order and sometimes it is none of those.
 
Outing a covert agent of the USA is Treason ?

but then the bush family has a history of treason.
Business dealings with Hitler, Selling weapons to Iran, etc...

If Bush did authorize it, it is not a crime. The President has the ability to declassify anything, including this. It is why we should be careful who we put into the office.

This is true, but you can't just order it leaked. To declassify information it must have a paper trail including a written order declassifying it and all declassed info must be stamped or labled by the agency holding that information as declassified. Every slide that we were shown at our CLE on GITMO was stamped at the bottom as unclassified or declassified, I can't remember the exact word, but you can secretly declassifie information.

The law was written so that the President can declassify pretty much at will. The authorization to give out the information can itself be used as an order to declassify the material.
 
What everyone seems to forget..........

is that Valerie was not classified as a covert agent at the time of this disclosure..and her husband brought her into the light when he took the reins as a so called expert witness...he and she brought it upon themselves...end of story!
