She's all ego; that merger was all ego, and her comments yesterday were all ego. As a surrogate for a campaign, you just don't say something like that. It was a major embarassment, and it's still getting play.

Remember almost everyone in the Silicon Valley was laying off workers after the dot com bubble burst. HP was not unique in that regard (I'm also biased because we made some money doing leasing for HP and their excess space).

Politically her comment was dumb but she was still correct.
 
Yeah and I predicted that bubble bursting too. After Y2k prep what was left ?
that bubble could more accurately be named the Y2K bubble.
