Comer says Kushner ‘crossed the line of ethics’ with Saudi deal

We fight, We win
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said Thursday that Jared Kushner, former President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser while in office, “crossed the line of ethics” by accepting a $2 billion investment from the Saudi government in his private investment firm six months after he left the White House.

In an interview on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” Comer acknowledged an argument made by 2024 GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie, who noted Kushner’s extensive work in the Middle East on behalf of the Trump White House and claimed in an earlier interview “the Trump family has been involved in grifting for quite some time.”

So, where’s the investigation?

Will Comer now begin an investigation of Kushner and his wife?

Not sure that a 2 billion dollar investment in a company quite qualifies as gifting.

People who invest that much usually expect a return on it.

It is the same core accusation as against Hunter.

Neither is qualified to get what they are getting from Foreign gov'ts. The Saudi board who decides on these investments said Kushner had none of the experience nor qualifications and turned him down. Then Jared bff MBS stepped in and over ruled them and Jared is making more fees and money off of this fund then Steve the Munchkin, who does have experience and is also grifting the Saudi's after leaving the Trump gov't.

And this is Jared's second $2B, lest we forget, he asked Qatar for $2B months earlier, after every bank possible turned him down to save his failing NY tower that was going to cause him to have his first Trump like massive family bankruptcy. When Qatar said no, suddenly Saudi began to beat the war drum that they needed to attack and take over Qatar. Trump jumped in and despite Qatar being a long term ally, said he would support Saudi invading. Suddenly Qatar managed to find $2B to lend to Kushner to save his tower. And not surprisingly instantly Saudi talking about invading, and Trump's support all went away.

No, someone is investing in Jared's business, Hunter was paid cash, he didn't have a business, he had shell corporations.

That is the difference.

You are wrong.

Both Jared and Hunter created Shell companies that did not exist prior to take in these monies.

The difference is what they said that company would do, which is a difference without a distinction.

What matters in both instances is they are BOTH selling proximity of who they are close to and the power that person holds (Trump and Biden).

Neither has any skill, relevance or business history and yet Hunter was getting millions and Jared Billions, even as assessment Boards (Saudi Soveriegn Fund) said as much. Neither would get a penny of that money if not for the proximity to the respective big guys.

The other main difference is Hunters is the old fashion type grift no one can do anything about. Family members and friends are fully allowed to grift off of who they know. Jared started his grifting from within an official position in gov't making it illegal.

So some Saudi company just gave two billion to Jared for access to Trump?

Give me a break here.

What deal did Trump do that would possibly quantify that investment in Saudi Arabia?

He didn't do anything unlike Biden.

Trump himself is only worth 2.5 billion but you are saying that Jared is now almost as rich as him?

Hahahahahahahaha

You guys are just pouting because Hunter got busted.

If you think Jared got two $2B investments, one from Qatar and one from Saudi, based on anything other than his relationship to Trump then you should believe Hunter got his payments for his business acumen as you are truly that naive.

Further Evidence Emerges the Saudis Did Not Pay Jared Kushner Billions Because They Thought He Was an Investing Genius
His firm’s very embarrassing pitch deck suggests it was more about the whole letting-them-get-away-with-murder business.

...the panel that performs due diligence for the Saudi fund concluded Kushner’s firm was a joke—that management was “inexperience[d],” that the kingdom would be responsible for “the bulk of the investment and risk,” that its fees were “excessive,” and that the firm’s operations were “unsatisfactory in all aspects.” The panel warned that the country shouldn’t give the former first son-in-law a dime. But then those grave, unequivocal warnings were mysteriously overridden by the fund’s board, led by M.B.S...

Because, every day people considered a 'joke' get $2B, meanwhile Steve the Munchkin, an actual experienced fund manager also grifting off his role with the Trump Admin, only got $1B and a lessor (more normal) fee structure.

The 2 billion was an investment in a company, Hunter received straight up payouts.

Hunter has no experience with the natural gas industry so what was he actually offering them other than access to his father?

He didn't run any portion of the company, he simply sat on the board of directors.

How did he earn that position, why would they have picked someone with no experience or investment in their company to sit on the board of directors?

Name we one company that just randomly selects people to be on their board of directors with absolutely no ties to their company.

C'mon, this is so obvious it's laughable.

Hunter's payments went in to shell companies too.

But why does that matter. I can take a payment personally right now or i can quickly create a company to take it. Jared created a brand new company with no history that the investment board consider a joke and yet you, in your extreme TDS say 'well that is enough for me... as long as the person creates a company to take the grift money i am ok with it'.

Your TDS is complete

You don't know what TDS is, that's hilarious.

You should Google it so you quit embarrassing yourself here.

Comer is wrong. But now you think he is credible? You lefties have zero self-awareness, little intelligence and wallow in hypocrisy.

What laws were broken guAno?

guAno
noun
gua·no | \ ˈgwä-(ˌ)nō
: a fertilizer containing the accumulated excrement of seabirds or bats broadly : excrement especially of seabirds or bats

Kushner's deal with Saudi is not about any ethics issues. He wasn't in government when that deal was made. Unlike Hunter Biden and his daddy who got millions and have nothing to show for why they got the money other than influence peddling.

It is the same core accusation as against Hunter.

That is a pile of uninformed bile leftist snowflake and liar extraordinaire. In Jarod's case, there is RE fund that is a real PRIVATE business. In Hunters case, there were no services or product other than daddy's name to peddle their influence in government matters while he was Vice President.

You are wrong.

Both Jared and Hunter created Shell companies that did not exist prior to take in these monies.

Wrong again leftist halfwit. Hunter created shell companies to hide the bribes coming in from corrupt oligarchs trying to buy daddies influence.

Jarod's isn't a "shell" company. It is an "INVESTMENT" fund. I get now why you voted for Biden. You're an uneducated, dishonest lying leftist dumbass. :palm:

Trump wasn't even President when this went down.

This is why you cannot argue with a lying leftist idiot. It only leads to a never ending lie filled circle of stupidity. :palm:
