Debate Challange: Islam in Western Culture

Okay, so now what have I posted in this thread that you would have complained about in APP?

It seems that when you look at the polls from britain they say that 50% of muslims believe that being gay should be a crime (not a sin a crime punishable by the state) and that women should follow men all the time.
They also belive we should be under sharia at 30-40%.

If this was any other religion (like christianity) you would be mocking them :)

BUt then of course they are on top of the Democrat Hierarchy of Victimization

Do you have a citation for that poll?

Anyone who promotes America criminalizing such things as homosexuality or other things on religious grounds will be mocked by me, regardless of if they are Christian or Muslim. I will not however say that because they are a member of any particular religion they don't have a right to live here.

IF your 50% number were correct, that means 50% of Muslims in Briton are not idiots deserving of mockery and they should not be prejudiced against simply because others believe something idiotic.

Yeah but apparently GayRod has some magical insight into what 99.9% of what muslimes believe. Pretty stunning when you think about it. I mean he hasn't backed up his statement so maybe he is just pulling it out of his ass?

so... you cant have a bunch of countries run by "communists" and say thats not communism just like you cant have a bunch of countries run by islamic govts and say thats not islam.

At that point you are just making excuses for em.

In AMERICA, we welcome all religions and do not discriminate based on true religious tenants. There are always limits, and if someone tries to limit the freedom of others in an unreasonable way they will not be allowed to do so.

Muslims are welcome to live here and practice their religion, they are not welcome to live here and insist we practice their religion.

Christians are welcome to live here and practice their religion, they are not welcome to live here and insist we practice their religion.

Same goes for any group that wants us to practice their religion.

This is why homosexuality should not be illegal and why same sex marriage (which Trump is against) should be legal, because religion should not dictate freedom of others. You are free to chose not to be in a same sex marriage, AND you are free to be in a same sex marriage.

The point is the difference between a culture and a religion. Using your communist example, there is a difference between the Communist Government Structure and Culture. The Culture of the USSR was significantly different than the Culture of Cuba and China, they were all Communist, but significantly different culturally.

Same with Islam. The culture in Malaysia is very different than the culture in Saudi Arabia, they are both predominantly Muslim nations.

sure. malaysia and sa are different. Yet one country is run along mostly secular lines and one country is run by muslim lines. You can see how compatible islam is.

Maybe culture in the West is changing, like it has before.

The culture of a region can change over time, you know. If the culture in western Europe changes, it's still going to be the culture of western Europe.

America's culture has changed, too. It will change endlessly.

You can piss your panties about "losing" some mythical Ozzie and Harriet world that only existed on TV, or you can roll with it.
