No, this was on film , and on the news. Your big "my bf the bigot and racist Tom Tancredo got a death threat" is an anecdote. Sorry.

I know you were enjoying your jackboots being able to run roughshod over democrats and shut them down. But you should have known it was only a matter of time before the opposition started standing up to them. When congresspeople are having to be escorted out by the police because of angry mobs, that was bound to happen. I'm sorry you're so disappointed.

It's amazing that they think they are winning the pr war.

In fact, on LI, I called up a coalition out here to find out how I can help, and then attended their meeting. My biggest concern is, that we in no way scream back at these people. They're losing the perception war, but are too dumb to know it.

There's a much more clever way to counteract them at the upcoming meetings. Getting into shoving matches and screaming matches is not a good idea. Let them keep screaming, that's my opinion, and it was widely shared at least here.

LOL. I see people rejecting that, even here. It's silly to say that they have this power over these people, then pretend that they had no power over them during the campaign.

Although subconscious perceptions are effective, I don't think this is one of them. They see Ds shutting people out of the meetings, they see people asked to report "fishy" conversations, posts, and e-mail to a branch of the government...

I think something may be brewing subconsciously, but I don't think it is what you think it is.

Is it hard for you that you lost, even though Obama made no disguise of what he planned to do on healthcare? I mean, if you look at the campaign, it was one of his cornerstone issues. If the majority truly opposed it, you would think he would have gotten trounced.

The way you're talking, it's like he sprung this on unsuspecting Americans, who had been lulled by his campaign into thinking he wouldn't address healthcare at all.

Elections have consequences. Let's roll.

What are you talking about. There was ample coverage of the town hall she is talking about. Tons of conservatives showed up and acted in angry and aggressive manner. In this one event, it was the tea party protesters that behaved like a mob. IF you are going to decry mob behavior then you have to decry it on all sides.

Did you read all the the threads on this? I did. What you are saying to me is what I was saying to Darla. Either you decry it both places or just wear the hypocrite label.

And I was adding that if more video comes out with union people manhandling others it will drive more people to these things. I know I'm going to go to see if something like that happens.

What all of this shows me is that neither side wants honest debate about this. Town hall meetings should have rules, admit people from both sides and if anyone steps out of line, shouts down a speaker or disrupts they are out on their ass and someone else comes in to take their place.
