Did God cause the Coronavirus?

no. bad sanitary conditions created covid19. Over population and bad sanitation create most deadly diseases. just a universal constant.

"so the oil and gas industry can receive aid."

you are really quick to project what you believe and whole lot less willing to accept what others understand when not on anyone's side because of compounding human ancestral error not corrected yet.

Want to use just the judeo-christian-islam concepts, fine. I can go any narrative you insist taking. Jesus dies 2020 years ago 10 days ago. after a 101 reprodction cycles of changing [population since humanity is sti9ll governing life by the idea time changes everything literally spaced apart beyond simultaneously taking place. I use 20 year time frame from born to becoming a parent average. 101 times 20 and people never the same populaiton or reproduction lived twice.

Physics of God/Allah or psychology of science fiction, vocabulary was designed to be a means to communicate brain to brain and got corrupted becoming a method of coercion subliminally with we say so and who do you think you are standing against social progress of making life easier to control outcomes from now on.

Easier to control outcomes doesn't define the simplicity of reproductively timed apart now, does it?

"I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor. I am victory, I am adventure, and I am the strength of the strong."

So said the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shree Krishna, to his cousin the royal Prince, while they stood on a war chariot reviewing the assembled armies on the starting day of a long simmering civil war for the thrown of the world emperor. 3102 BCE, as recorded in the ancient National epic of old India, entitled The Maha-bharat, where these words are found in the chapter called the Song of God, aka, the Bhagavad-gita.

Krishna is has been speaking of how is personal opulences are reflected and seen in various manifestations.

A wise old India Swami master yogi (1896-1977),
of the Hindu Bhakti school,
not too far south of the Himalayas,
translated this gita verse,
and his commentary follows below:

"I am also the gambling of cheats,
and of the splendid I am the splendor.
I am victory, I am adventure,
and I am the strength of the strong."
(bg 10.36)

commentary by A.C. Bhaktivedanta swami:
There are many kinds of cheaters all over the universe.
Of all cheating processes, gambling stands supreme
and therefore represents Kṛishna.
As the Supreme, Kṛishna can be more deceitful than any mere man.
If Kṛishna chooses to deceive a person,
no one can surpass Him in His deceit.
His greatness is not simply one-sided – it is all-sided.
Among the victorious, He is victory.
He is the splendor of the splendid.
Among the enterprising and industrious,
He is the most enterprising,
the most industrious.
Among adventurers He is the most adventurous,
and among the strong He is the strongest.
When Kṛishna was present on earth
[avatar from 5000 years ago],
no one could surpass Him in strength.
Even in His childhood He lifted the Govardhana Hill.
No one can surpass Him in cheating,
no one can surpass Him in splendor,
no one can surpass Him in victory,
no one can surpass Him in enterprise,
and no one can surpass Him in strength.

you are really quick to project what you believe and whole lot less willing to accept what others understand ....

Like when Anderson Cooper said to the Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman:
"Wow, that's really ignorant."
after she justified her wish to quickly reopen casinos ... ???
