Except that this lady (how’s this for an appeal to authority) is a liberal, went to Princeton, previously was an economics reporter for The NY Times and is a guest correspondent on CNN and PBS Newshour.)
So the column isn’t from some free market zealot which gives us an idea how bad the proposal is.
Its a warning that America is now under the control of a neo-marxist revolution.....the last remnants of Old America are about to be swept away.

The new right is hardly pro free markets (see Vance, JD). This populist movement on the left and right is frightening.
Stephen Hicks (Rockford University) talks a lot about how almost none of the WOKE have bothered to read the foundational books....they learned the slogans that they were told to repeat, and they have learned how to be activists, but they know nothing of the aims of the Revolution....they are the definition of useful idiots.
Now that the Revolution is coming out into the open a lot of them are about to become unhappily aware of what it is actually all about. Had they bothered to get educated, especially had they learned history, they would have figured it out a long time ago.

Harris has not even said much about her policies on Price Gouging yet. Any opinions coming from anyone now, are coming from jumping to conclusions at this point.
She did line out some bullets, said some things she would like to do, but did not say exactly how she was going to do ANYTHING yet.
Such as she said she intends to use Anti-trust laws to prevent mergers in the Grocery Chain Market! With Kroger attempting to buy Safeway- which happen to be the 2 largest Grocery chains in America already, I don't see how that helps bring prices down- DO YOU?
So, NO! THAT WOULD BE A MONOPOLY, AND I approve anything Harris would do to prevent that!
And when it comes to MONOPOLIES, the MEAT PROCESSING INDUSTRY ARE ALREADY A MONOPOLY- and they seem to be the main Instigators of PRICE GOUGING. Take the Beef market for example- 4 companies own 85% of the entire US market share.
So, there are more than one way to skin a COW! And I believe KAMALA will figure out what needs to be done and what should be done to help bring prices down. GIVE HER A FUCKING CHANCE NAYSAYERS. Trust me, there are people out there running their mouths for politcal posturing- I MEAN! There is an election going on AND ALL!
And as for opinions- EVERYONE with an asshole has one! And I can assure you- EVERY ASSHOLD HAS ONE RIGHT NOW!
So I wouldn't get all giddy about one person's negative opinions that may be speaking out in front of HARRIS on this subject in the first place!

Kroger currently makes 1% profit on their sales. ONE PERCENT! How much less do you expect them to make? Cargill, a Brazilian owned meat company, and one of the largest suppliers in the US, has started pulling out of the market because they don't want to put up the Leftist bullshit they know all to well in Brazil here too. They don't have to.

Trust me, they make up for that thin profit margin with the volume of their sales.
