Normal - Defining normal is not only difficult, but the definiton changes as society changes. For those born gay, being gay is normal.

Moral - If you use the bible as the sole basis for your morality, you might have a point. But that would require ignoring a large portion of the population, not to mention the US Constitution.

Natural - As has been shown numerous times, many species of animals enjoy same gender sexual practices. Also, if you are going to rely on what is "natural" as a basis for our society, stop shaving, driving, using technology, enjoying refrigeration, ect ect ect.

Healthy - The group with the lowest incidence of AIDs is lesbians. The sexual acts that you refer to when claiming it is unhealthy are also practiced by a significant percentage of the heterosexual population. There are many things that can be considered "unhealthy", including eating red meat, processed sugar, unnecessarily pumping contaminants into the environment, drinking alcohol, and more.

Do you think most New Yorkers would agree with Paladino's idea to transform some New York prisons into dormitories for welfare recipients, where they would work in state-sponsored jobs, get employment training and take lessons in "personal hygiene."

There, they would do work for the state — "military service, in some cases park service, in other cases public works service," he said — while prison guards would be retrained to work as counselors.

"Instead of handing out the welfare checks, we'll teach people how to earn their check. We'll teach them personal hygiene ... the personal things they don't get when they come from dysfunctional homes"

The thing is that many moderates use positions on gay rights as a kind of measuring stick to the tolerance of the candidate on many social issues. It's not the liberals that will win this election it's the forgotten center both center right and center left that will stay home because they may not like Cuomo they could never vote for the other idiot.

SM is pointing out a fundamental difference in the philosophy of Democrats and Republicans.

Democrats tend to be ashamed of what they have earned.

Where as Republicans are very proud of everything they've stolen.
